This is the stuff that makes me sick.
If the guy answers directly, he is called a racist, if he bobs and weaves, he is called another politician
what should he do?

Rand Paul is a man scared shitless of the media distorting what he says, smearing him, and ruining his career.

If he says that the 1964 Civil Rights Act may be an unconstitutional usurpation of State power by the Federal government, he knows the media will immediately scream that he hates blacks, even when he clearly doesn't. Facts are unimportant to the media. If they can destroy a conservative by smearing and/or lying about him, they'll do it in a blink.

Can you blame him for reacting as he does?

Precisely the dilemma facing a politican who doesnt want to give the standard pat answers and do "business as usual",

If he speaks the truth, the media will casterate him, and the basic problem is their is enough of the general public voters who are too damn ignorant and they will vote against him,

because all they do is read headlines and believe them, so if the media does what you say, errr, when they do, claim Paul is a racist because he thinks the civil rights act was unconsitutional.

So, what the hell does he do?
