DUESSELDORF, Germany - A court sentenced four men on Thursday who were convicted over a foiled 2007 plot to attack U.S. targets in Germany, giving them prison terms of up to 12 years.
Three of them — Fritz Gelowicz and Daniel Schneider, both German converts to Islam, and Turkish citizen Adem Yilmaz — were convicted of membership in a terrorist organization and other offenses.
The fourth, Turkish citizen Attila Selek, was convicted of supporting a terrorist organization. It is nice to see that we are stopping alot of these people before they actually do the deed (yes I see that this was back in 07)
Gelowicz and Schneider were sentenced to 12 years in prison. Yilmaz was given 11 years and Selek five. Not that this will change their mind. They will convert people in prison or sway them to their side or just be released with a renewed conviction IMHO.
