Leave it to MSNBC to not only make global warming a religion - but now makes it unpatriotic if you do not buy into their crap

Unpatriotic if you don't embrace their pseudo-science based on specious data and old people are stupid.
No arrogance there! Just another instance of telling the lie often enough that it becomes "fact".

It is all about standing in the way of them getting their hands on a few trillion dollars of tax payer money
CAp and Tax wants to jack up taxes, kill millions of jobs, and regualte Co2 - all in the name of saving the planet
That is why they are becoming more angry. The weather is making them look like fools, and they have to lash out

In other words... god damn mother nature.
LOL!!! I guess that "weather control conspiracy" isn't working as well as they thought it would. I can just picture some Obamabot pushing the button which creates record snowfalls in Albany, and then going "OOOPS! as Washington gets snowed under.

Sounds that way to me
I remember opposing Obamacare was considered unpatriotic
Paying more in taxes was considered patriotic
If you fail to blindly follow this administration you are tagged as unpartiotic, racist, greedy, meanspirited, stupid, and uncaring

Went to the Illinois Holocaust Museum and Education Center today for a workshop, "Beyond Anne Frank." It was very informative and what struck me, beyond the rising anti-Semitism in both Europe and the US, was the reminder of the 'scientific approach' Hitler took regarding his Aryan Nation. There was a combination of Social Darwinism, mixed up with Eugenics and even time-motion studies. With the exception of the last part, which was really more of a copy off of Mussolini, it was pseudo-science. Yet, was quite highly believe in social science and some hard science departments at the time, both here and abroad.
Combine the rise of anti-Semitism and the new pseudo-science, then IF the world economy really does tank, the environment is set.

It is shocking to see how many intelligent people on the lack common sense. When these people lose the debate, and as the facts go against them - they revert to attack mode
Your post Kathianne makes perfect sense and is scary as hell

The smoke and mirrors illusions have been going on for decades in government. The current state of our union is looking like the culmination of many years of hard work on the part of our elected officials to strip us of our constitutional rights and to oppress the masses.
How convenient that we are in two wars and our troops are spread out across the world. How convenient that the inflated housing bubble burst just in time to impact the world economy with devastating results, ushering in the most liberal government we've ever had. Yet, how inconvenient that this winter is a rough and tumble season for much of our country, creating doubts about our scientific community within the minds of many previously impressed individuals. I told Emmett last night, as we built a fire in each of our two fireplaces that I believe God is showing His sense of humor to our nations elected officials and to its citizens.
Binky expressed our state of affairs very well in another post:
Well, for whatever it's worth, I happen to agree with the premise of the article. Anyone with common sense can see that America is changing in a huge way. It is being manuevered around this way and that. The powers that be want us all focused on stupid things that dumb us down. Dumb people are much easier to control. And control is what this is all about. The larger the control, the more powerful they are. There will come a day, when America will be as Germany in the 1940's. It is being played with as a chess game. The powers that be move the pieces around to fit their agendas and then "checkmate". Game over....

These things have not just come into fruition during this administration...they've been building up for years, and neither donkeys nor elephants have stood in a line of defense for the people who elected them into office. Quite the contrary, favoritism has been granted special interest groups of all kinds.
So, now the climate change debacle is teetering on the head of a pin and has become the new rope in the tug of war between donkeys and elephants. What this country needs is a new vehicle; for donkeys throw us under the bus, and elephants hose us down with their trunks.
Climate change IS real....in the winter it gets colder throughout the country; in spring the climate warms up and in summer it get pretty hot in some places; then it cools off again in fall. The cycle repeats about every 365 days. In some parts of the world glaciers melt and shrink, then they grow again; they move along their merry way and do what glaciers do.
What a mess we're in. Clowns to the left, jokers to the right, and we're stuck in the middle with no where to look but to our creator to use His wonderful sense of humor to keep people awake and wary of the rantings of the madmen (and women) in public office.

You know what kills me about the Left? It's not that they're leftists that bothers me, it's the fact that they lie. Leftists are pathological liars. They lie so much that they believe their own lies. They don't even know that they're lying anymore. It's because they lie that the truth seems like a lie to them.
They are people that live in a paranoid nightmare. And anyone who disagrees with them, anyone who won't believe their lies 100% with all of their souls and beings are their enemy. They belong in a rubber room in a straitjacket with lots of sedatives to calm them down.
Just how stupid do these people think we are? If it's hot, it's global warming, if it's cold, it's global warming. During a period of less than 5% unemployment they told us that it was the worst economy since the Great Depression. Now we are in the worst economic downturn since the Great Depression and they tell us that the economy is recovering.... they are such bold faced liars that they wear their shame like a badge of honor.
Their logic is so contorted that it would take a madman to make sense of it all.
And because they are liars, they need to lie more as time goes on, they need to make bigger lies, more outrageous fabrications.
No, we've let these madmen run this country for far too long. Their policies are driving us to the brink of bankruptcy and poverty. Anyone that votes for these bastards is certifiably insane.

I find it interesting that the one person who is a pathological truth-teller in government has not been taken seriously enough to make it to the White House. Ron Paul is as honest and forthright a man as could be found anywhere in the world; and has striven to serve the best interest of the country for the entire time he has served in political office, yet people have not listened, did not believe, or didn't want to know what the truth was. He has predicted every wretched pitfall that we the people have been tossed into, not because he is a soothsayer, but because he is intelligent, insightful and understands the concept of consequences for actions.
Here is his take on the global warming issue as of June last year:

Statement on Global Warming Petition Signed by 31,478 Scientists
By tmartin • June 4, 2009
Before the US House of Representatives, June 4, 2009
Ron Paul: Madam Speaker, before voting on the “cap-and-trade” legislation, my colleagues should consider the views expressed in the following petition that has been signed by 31,478 American scientists:
“We urge the United States government to reject the global warming agreement that was written in Kyoto, Japan in December, 1997, and any other similar proposals. The proposed limits on greenhouse gases would harm the environment, hinder the advance of science and technology, and damage the health and welfare of mankind.
There is no convincing scientific evidence that human release of carbon dioxide, methane, or other greenhouse gases is causing or will, in the foreseeable future, cause catastrophic heating of the Earth’s atmosphere and disruption of the Earth’s climate. Moreover, there is substantial scientific evidence that increases in atmospheric carbon dioxide produce many beneficial effects upon the natural plant and animal environments of the Earth.”
Circulated through the mail by a distinguished group of American physical scientists and supported by a definitive review of the peer-reviewed scientific literature, this may be the strongest and most widely supported statement on this subject that has been made by the scientific community. A state-by-state listing of the signers, which include 9,029 men and women with PhD degrees, a listing of their academic specialties, and a peer-reviewed summary of the science on this subject are available at www.petitionproject.org.
The peer-reviewed summary, “Environmental Effects of Increased Atmospheric Carbon Dioxide” by A. B. Robinson, N. E. Robinson, and W. Soon includes 132 references to the scientific literature and was circulated with the petition.
Signers of this petition include 3,803 with specific training in atmospheric, earth, and environmental sciences. All 31,478 of the signers have the necessary training in physics, chemistry, and mathematics to understand and evaluate the scientific data relevant to the human-caused global warming hypothesis and to the effects of human activities upon environmental quality.
In a letter circulated with this petition, Frederick Seitz — past President of the U.S. National Academy of Sciences, President Emeritus of Rockefeller University, and recipient of honorary doctorate degrees from 32 universities throughout the world — wrote:
“The United States is very close to adopting an international agreement that would ration the use of energy and of technologies that depend upon coal, oil, and natural gas and some other organic compounds.
“This treaty is, in our opinion, based upon flawed ideas. Research data on climate change do not show that human use of hydrocarbons is harmful. To the contrary, there is good evidence that increased atmospheric carbon dioxide is environmentally helpful.
“The proposed agreement we have very negative effects upon the technology of nations throughout the world; especially those that are currently attempting to lift from poverty and provide opportunities to the over 4 billion people in technologically underdeveloped countries.
“It is especially important for America to hear from its citizens who have the training necessary to evaluate the relevant data and offer sound advice.
“We urge you to sign and return the enclosed petition card. If you would like more cards for use by your colleagues, these will be sent.”
Madam Speaker, at a time when our nation is faced with a severe shortage of domestically produced energy and a serious economic contraction; we should be reducing the taxation and regulation that plagues our energy-producing industries.
Yet, we will soon be considering so-called “cap and trade” legislation that would increase the taxation and regulation of our energy industries. “Cap-and-trade” will do at least as much, if not more, damage to the economy as the treaty referred by Professor Seitz! This legislation is being supported by the claims of “global warming” and “climate change” advocates — claims that, as demonstrated by the 31,478 signatures to Professor Seitz’ petition, many American scientists believe is disproved by extensive experimental and observational work.
It is time that we look beyond those few who seek increased taxation and increased regulation and control of the American people. Our energy policies must be based upon scientific truth — not fictional movies or self-interested international agendas. They should be based upon the accomplishments of technological free enterprise that have provided our modern civilization, including our energy industries. That free enterprise must not be hindered by bogus claims about imaginary disasters.
Above all, we must never forget our contract with the American people — the Constitution that provides the sole source of legitimacy of our government. That Constitution requires that we preserve the basic human rights of our people — including the right to freely manufacture, use, and sell energy produced by any means they devise — including nuclear, hydrocarbon, solar, wind, or even bicycle generators.
While it is evident that the human right to produce and use energy does not extend to activities that actually endanger the climate of the Earth upon which we all depend, bogus claims about climate dangers should not be used as a justification to further limit the American people’s freedom.
In conclusion, I once again urge my colleagues to carefully consider the arguments made by the 31,478 American scientists who have signed this petition before voting on any legislation imposing new regulations or taxes on the American people in the name of halting climate change.
We have got to get these twisted, deranged people out of office before they destroy our lives, our childrens lives, our businesses and our precious planet.
