Very affordable up here - if this were 2011 and not 2010, I think I'd go for it.
:)
What would you like to buy, but the timing is wrong?

A mountain cabin in Wrightwood, CA so when my wife and daughter are out of school we can spend time there. I also want to be able to let people from church use it as a getaway when they want some peace and quiet.

well, there's this apartment complex that a bank took over in forclosure way back in 2002....they've been stuck with it ever since and I suspect they would accept an offer that is ridiculous, but it's 186 units and even a ridiculous offer is a million plus and I doubt I could get any bank to finance it right now......

Actually I found some old plans for a 75' underground range. Now that would be cool!

I lived on Colorado as a child for a few years. The prairies are serene. I loved our day trips into the mountains. Thanks for the taking me back. Although my favorite now is Gatlinburg, where me and my husband escape to. The horse ranch is beautiful though.

I'd buy a chainsaw to cut down that tree. Seriously.
