To compare verifiable event like the holocaust with a scientific theory is just ridiculous. The fact that US and Russian soldiers walked into the camps and saved the prisoners shows that the holocaust happened. There is still debate on evolution. do species adapt, yes. Did we originate from a single-cell organism, prove it to me and I will agree with the comparison.

The problem is that those who do not believe in evolution do not care about the evidence.
Like i'm not a violent person, but how richard did not punch this women i will never know, its a one hour interview, and is almost unbelievable.

Don't paint with too broad a brush. I do not believe in evolution as this person is portraying it and yet I do care about the evidence. There are tremendous gaps in the evolutionary model that have never been answered. There is not proof of amoeba to fish to amphibian to reptile to mammal to man. There is only conjecture. Scientific wishful thinking, if you want my opinion.

Well if you are inertested in the evidence i suggest you view the following videos, this one covers four areas
1 - Neanderthal DNA
2 - Chromosonmal Fusion
3 - Retroviral DAN
4 - Summation

Noir, are you claiming that evolution is the only possible answer? It somehow is no longer theoretical, but actually is up there with just the token title of 'theory', like gravity?
Mind you, until some better explanation comes along, I'm going with evolution.

I judge it to be a fact. If others don't fair enough, but i have never heard a good argument against it, but i have heard/read many strong arguments for.
That is not to say that a God could not have created the world, and let evolution happen, though obviously thats not my personal opinion, but evolution itself is fact.

I think you'd have to say you have 'faith' in the theory. Fair enough, still not a fact. BTW, what you stated about evolution, not the part about God's having a hand in it, I agree with. There are too many links to think 'man' just suddenly came to be, beginning with before 'early man', but that is just sort of the no-brainer for the theory of what we currently know.

Its not faith, its fact, if you look through the videos provided, the second on in particular, there are countless thousands of links, between different animals. When given so much evidence, and no true counter argument other than 'we popped into being' i would consider it fact.

Why can't it also be true that God created the evolution process ? Just because early times describes the adam and eve scene does not mean that God did not also create evolution too as an addition. I don't understand how its incompatible to believe in both.

Indeedy, i have said such

Its the fact that in view of so much evidence, and events that are independent of each other all link perfectly and yet some deny evolution anyways =/

Noir, you're putting your faith in someone who is a scientist; the same way others do the bible or a preacher or what have them. No better, no worse. In the end, it won't matter either way. It is, what it is.

lol,
In the same way that i put faith in the scientist that tell me that gravity is the result of a distortion in space-time by mass? If you're going to say everything that you ever learn is faith then i guess it is, i don't view the world like that though.
By taking such an argument even what i see is not fact, after all i only know what i see because i have faith in the pulses being sent from my eye to my brain are accurate, right?
Are you seriously saying there are no facts in this universe?

So, if mankind started in Africa and were all black, did some evolve to white with great hair and others didn't?:laugh2:

Those that left Africa needed to change their skin pigment, while black skin if helpful in helping block out harmful UV rays it is detrimental when in a low UV areas, and before modern medicine rickets was a killer,
I don't know the details of it all, but as far as i know Rickets is caused by a lack of Vit D, and so micro-evolution took over, paler skin pigments, so more UV rays could be absorbed, which Vit D can be extracted from.
Again i say i don't know the full details, but if you are interested in it i'm sure there are may websites dedicated to it.
Edit: Found this, covers your question better than i coould

As interesting as it is, science seems set up that way. For a long time, the world 'was.' Then it was the stories of creation, those followed into the Hebrew Bible when writing began. Then a few thousand years later, evolution. Who knows what 'they'll' know hundreds of years from now?
Personally I believe that hand of God or primal mover or whatever name you'd like to assign. With that said, it was that power that began the evolutionary cycle, or the Big Bang, or what have you.

Sorry bout that,
1. I find evolution totally laughable.
2. The truth of what actually happened is stranger than fiction, in this case.
3. God creating the universe, in 7 days, just can't be right to an atheist.
4. If you believe in evolution, you haven't a real clue on reality.
5. Thats a fact.

???....isn't it more logical to assume that the first created humans were somewhere in the middle and that as their descendants moved through different climes that some darkened and some lightened?......
or were you assuming that after God created a "white" Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden, he went somewhere else and created the other races?..........

Given the oldest human remains have been found in africa it would seem reasonable to assume we came from africa, and where thus black.

Noir - just because those are the oldest ever discovered doesn't mean that there are some older ones somewhere else in the world. Perhaps they just have not been discovered yet.
Everyone thought the world was round until it was discovered that it wasn't.

True, but we can only work by what we have, and given that several remains have been found that outdate all others in africa it is believed that they are from africa. Thats why i said it was an assumption ect.
and everyone didn't think the world was flat, that is a myth, people such as the Greeks believed it to be round,
Tis a comedy show, but based around myth-breaking

Wow......I never knew the Greeks thought the world was round. Why didn't they try and prove it? Or perhaps they did and just failed.
As I've said before.........I learn something new everyday.

I don't disagree, but it could be they were white, then black skin developed in adaptation to environment.

lol.....now you've gone off the deep end that you've been blaming them for......would you also argue that the first feline was a black panther and that cougars must have evolved from them?......there is no logical reason to conclude that the "average" evolved from the extremes......particularly since the variations of "black" in Africa are so broad......
and what about other variations besides skin color?......should we conclude that pygmies came from Watusi or the other way around?.....or should we conclude that both developed from a humanity of average height.......
obviously races resulted from long periods of isolation during which there was little interaction between varying gene types......that's why the lightest whites come from the extreme lengths from the "epicenter" such as the Scandinavians.....why "asian" races are identified with Mongolia.....why the blackest blacks are found in the heart of the African jungle......everyone else is a result of cross mixing of races.......
it's only take what, four, five thousand years for us to see both Chihuahuas and St Bernards come from wild dogs.......how long do you think was required to see both Norwegians and Watusi from a single human "race".........
