View Full Version : Bill Clinton on Obama - "A few years ago this guy would have been getting us coffee"

Looks to me alot of Dems knew damn well how unqualified Obama was to be President

Now we are all seing the proof on a daily basis

Teddy's anger

One of the enduring mysteries of the 2008 campaign was what got Ted Kennedy so mad at Bill Clinton. The former president's entreaties, at some point, backfired, and the explanation has never quite emerged.

I've finally gotten my hands on a copy of Game Change, in which John Heliemann and Mark Halperin report:

[A]s Hillary bungled Caroline, Bill’s handling of Ted was even worse. The day after Iowa, he phoned Kennedy and pressed for an endorsement, making the case for his wife. But Bill then went on, belittling Obama in a manner that deeply offended Kennedy. Recounting the conversation later to a friend, Teddy fumed that Clinton had said, A few years ago, this guy would have been getting us coffee.

Of course they knew...the little Marxist was installed for one thing..

For any criticism of him or the Progressive party they could try to shame and shout down anyone with the charge of RACISM, while they went off and try to install their Socialist-communist agenda..

not a PC view, but that's how I see it.

hold on there T did you hear what Reid called Osama????

Reid apologizes for 'no Negro dialect' comment

Sen. Barack Obama as "light skinned" and "with no Negro dialect, unless he wanted to have one." Obama is the nation's first African-American president.

"I deeply regret using such a poor choice of words. I sincerely apologize for offending any and all Americans, especially African-Americans for my improper comments," Reid said in a statement released after the excerpts were first reported on the Web site of The Atlantic.

and Harry Reid is?

You can bet that when libs are behind closed doors, away from others, and TV cameras they make jokes about blacks, and other minorities

Their fellow liberal buddies laugh it up, slap each other on the back, and tell them how funny the joke was

Then when they go out in public, and appear in front of the cameras they go into pretend mode like they actually care about those minorities

Also, can you imagine America with no poverty, and no racism?

If that would (or could) happen, why would America ever elect another liberal to any elected office?

Liberals need to have things bad so they can use the issues in elections. For over 40 years libs have promised to wipe poverty and racism from America. All they done with their programs is make the problems worse

Yet there are people out there who continue to believe them despite examples like this that show libs really do not give a damn about them or believe what they tell the voters

Exactly. Obama's on the upper left somewhere, Palins on the center right. :laugh2:

He's nowhere near the upper left at all. While all political figures are by their nature in the upper half, the vast majority are on the right half, particularly national figures. I'd place him near the center in terms of his ideological nature but within the right in terms of the actual nature of his governance. And Palin's certainly more socially authoritarian than he is, which places her closer to the top than he is.

Obama, inasmuch as he is a liberal democratic capitalist with an interest in preserving the private ownership of the means of production, is nowhere near the far left. Conversely, I'm a communist, which is why I am.

Palin is also not the "ideological opposite." Considering the constrained and limited nature of the political spectrum in Washington, Palin's politics do not differ radically from Obama's; they both fall into the authoritarian half of the compass, with Palin elevated higher due to the authoritarian elements of her social conservatism, with advocacy of anti-abortion and anti-gay marriage stances conflicting with libertarianism. Palin's economic position is also not far right; though it's well to the right as opposed to Obama's center-right position, it's certainly nowhere near that of Murray Rothbard, for example.

A more convincing lie would have been to claim that he'd picked up the word from his mother but didn't realize that it was of a pejorative nature, as that was simply the word she used.

It's difficult to imagine how one can be on the right and not be authoritarian to some extent, actually. For one thing, the social conservatism of many rightists is quite obviously aligned with the social authoritarianism on the compass, but for another, any support of capitalism is by its very nature a support of authoritarianism and statism, as the authoritarian hierarchies of capitalist labor markets facilitate theft and slavery.

More like you are busted

Research? How about Newsweek sat on the story of Bill and Monica for over a week - and they knew about it during his re-election bid - but said nothing

John Edwards and his affar and love child were common knowledge - but if only got your news from the liberal media - you would have no idea about it

Harry Reid has an approval rating over 70%.

With the liberal media. More then 70% of the coverage regrading his Negro comment is postivie. Mostly due to the guests they have on talking about the issue. Most are liberals

And now Newsweek is letting Pres Obama write their cover story on Haiti - and he says he sees no bias there

Also a recent poll came out where once again, people say there is a liberal bias to the media, and they do it like it

The bias will be even worse, as the loyal foot soliders of the Obama Army have to explain what happened if indeed Scott Brown wins Tuesday

I will set my DVR for MSNBC just in case the upset happens

New Rasmussen Survey: Voters See Media As Liberal, Biased & Too Powerful
By Rich Noyes (Bio | Archive)
January 15, 2010 - 15:27 ET

A new survey from Scott Rasmussen finds that more than half of all voters (51%) believe "the average reporter is more liberal than they are," and two-thirds (67%) think the media have "too much power and influence over government decisions."

Rasmussen's poll was released Thursday. Perhaps proving the point, on Friday, MSNBC anchor Savannah Guthrie reacted to polls showing the Democrats losing ground in Massachusetts by exclaiming: "This is bad." According to Rasmussen: "Only 20% of all voters say most reporters try to offer unbiased coverage of a political campaign. Seventy-two percent (72%) say most reporters try to help the candidate they want to win."

Agreed, I find nothing racist about it at all! Obviously Clinton could see that Obama has/had no qualifications, that he should be nothing more than an intern to some senator or judge for which he would be getting them coffee. Personally I think that probably puts the comment in its proper context.

However if it were a Republican that made the comment there would be no other news story out there. We probably wouldn't have even known about Haiti because it would have been so insignificant to the liberal media in comparison to clubbing some Republican with the remarks.

Far Left is authoritarian and far Right is Anarchy. Libertarians would fall on the right side of the scale. Liberals and Communists would fall on the Left side of the scale. Our Founding Fathers put us right in the middle of the scale.
