Get ready Dems, the Tea Party folks will make sure you get the message loud and clear in 2010
You made jokes while these folks will VOTE

Why have Sarah Palin at the helm? Seems more like a PR exercise than anything. I'm sure there are some much brighter, and more respected Repubs out there, leading with Palin wreaks of irony, to me anyways.

Being young and liberal, I am not surprised you do not get it Noir. Ms Palin blew away the left as they forgot all about what they lectured the rest of us on women over the last 30 years
The only reason the left hates and constantly attacks Ms Plain is because you are afraid of her, and what she could do Obama in 2012

It nothing to do with being a liberal, the women is daft, plain ans simple, if you honestly believe that she is fit to run the country you must be off your trolly.
On the whole I am a supporter of small goverment, infact very small goverment, but all things must be taken within the context they are set.
I can understand the right wanting to propel Palin forward, if they believe that she is most likly to win, but you must have something beond that, and from the debates and interviews I have seen her in I would be a better candidate than her.

Ms Palin is a very smart and informed women Noir. As usual you get your information from the liberal meida which attacked her and her KIDS in an obvious attempt to destroy her
Given the accomplishments of your fellow liberals in the past 11 months Nori - MS Palin can indeed do a much better job. We have seen that trillions of spending (and trillions added to the debt) have made things much worse - but I am sure you (like the Dems) will try and pass the buck to Pres Bush

Palin is the most hated and feared conservative in America.
She's intelligent, popular and is organizing the downfall of Obama.
Liberals recognoize what a great threat Sarah Palin is to their messiah.
You and the other blind raptured sheep are the ones who aren't too bright.
You still believe what the mainstream media has programmed you to believe.
Simple minds are easily manipulated and misled.....Wise up peckerwood.

The left showed how they value the rights of women, and defended their honor well when it came to Gov Palin
He had libs openly attack her children, and one op-ed writer publicsh how she have murdered her unborn son since he was determined to be a RETARD, and would be a burden on society
We had champions of women rights on TV calling her a pig, hoping she would be gang raped, and tolerant libs wearing "Palin IS A C***" T shirts
Real class there from the left. Anything goes if you get in their way of toal power and control

She's getting her name out there early. She's reforming the repub party. She will make mistakes along the way. If the Tea Party people like her she's a shoe in. And they may take over the repub party. After all the communists took over the dems.
As for someone better. Could you name a few?

Very smart and informed? Have you listened to the women? I tell ya I did, and was cringing during it.
I memo back when we had a school debate for the ellection, I was on the Rep side, and there is nothing worse than sitting listing to the opposition quote word for word things that the person you are trying to gain support for, sure I had a couple of Biden gaffes, but they were no match.
And I see what you're saying, and thus why I guess many support Palin, because they believe out of all Reps she has the best chance of kicking Obama out and there's a 'anything would be better than him' sprit. All I'm saying is that if I were in the Rep party I'd be going for someone with core conservitive values AND not sound like a fool when expressing those values.
Sure you can blame the media for picking on her, and her children (which was unacceptable IMO) but it was not the media that made her say 'i can see Russia from my window' as a retort to a lack of Forgien policy experience.

I think Hog sums this up pretty well, all aong the libs have been petrified of Sarah and now you will see why
She made a ass out of Biden on national TV and is doing a preety good job of making the messiah look like a ass also, people will listen eventually to a woman before they will a male, people truly want change, that is why we have the messiah in there but Sarah is also different, and a lot smarter than the idiot in charge
We will now see the Libs worst nightmare, :laugh2:

Indeed, she is the most feared because she is popular, and the fact that she is popular makes her even more popular, tis a self feeding loop, and one that may well end with her in office, all I'm saying is that there is a difference between a popular president and a good president. You guys were pretty up-ended when Obama got in, for having done something simalar. Don't let your own defence become that which you mocked the Left for during Obamas rise, or you may find yourself in a black kettle and tea-pot convention before too long.

I haven't seen any independents stepping forward to get their name out there. Now is the time for them to do so. And I haven't seen any running for congress this year. It's critical for them to get members into congress if they want to do anything with the government. An independent president without congressional support is a lame duck from day one.
The media hates Palin, therefore I support her.
She's going to be out in support of candidates this coming year. How those candidates do in the election will say alot about how she will do. Watch and see.

Sarah Palin's main #1 quality is the fact that DC elitest of both the left and right hate and fear her which is the best indicator that she is not one of them
These are the reasons well informed intelligent people support politicians...Your problem seems to be your opinion that she's an idiot which is nothing more than your MSM brainwashing.

This upcoming convention will be a meeting of the minds to formulate political battle plans for the next three years.
We are witnessing a revolution in the making...No doubt the elitest from both parties are in panic mode or soon will be.
What is happening must end and the damage already done must be undone...Everyone needs to participate and donate.
Americans appear to be wising up...It's about damn time...The summer of 2010 should be very interesting.

isn't it funny the one and only "quote" that the liberals throw out there about Sarah Palin is the one about Russia..
do they know or even care what she did as a mayor of a city or as Governor of a state..hell I'd guess most of them didn't even know Alaska was part of the United States until Sarah Palin came on the scene...
Sarah Palin is a great choice to headline this convention and she will knock it out of the ballpark...BEWARE liberals and Rino Republicans...:thumb:

For Noir from a prior post I made about Palin:
I like her outspoken demeanor and the fact that she does not try to please all the people all the time. A person knows exactly where she stands on the issues.
I'm looking for someone who has not been corrupted by being in the political system for their entire adulthood. Also, she took on her own party and exposed corruption and some politicians ended up in jail. She took on "big oil" and would not back down and created the ACES program. She doesn't want to spend and tax us into oblivion. She managed to get a natural gas pipeline project started which I believe is the largest construction project in America. She created a plan for Alaska to be on a 50% renewable energy system within the next 15 years or so.
And, anyone who would be willing to put their entire career and reputation at risk for the benefit of the state has the kind of principles I can get behind. Resigning her position as Governor has allowed the new Governor to actually get the business of Alaska accomplished. After the election the sheer amount of bogus lawsuits submitted by those who are scared of her virtually brought the state administration to a halt. I admire her for not letting the lure of being a career politician get in the way of what was best for her state.
As for other possible candidates:
I know nothing of Ron Paul. And, I don't think Huckabee or Romney have changed much since they ran last time. We still have a couple of years for some more good talent to emerge and depending upon the state of the union at that time will help me decide who will be best.
As for the Tea Party party - I'm ready for a change - as I've said before ..... I am not voting for any incumbent.........they've all been infected with corruption and I'm appalled at how fast the infection spreads. I think Sarah will endorse candidates who want to fight the corruption as she did in Alaska, especially in her own party.
For Noir, Missleman, Aggie and any other libs on this board........this is why the politicians from both parties fear her. She will clean up her own party or create a new one in the process.

and lets not forget Pres Obama. The man who was going to bring the world hope and chnage. The man who would bring superior knowledge to the White House
Last May, he claimed that tornadoes in Kansas killed a whopping 10,000 people: “In case you missed it, this week, there was a tragedy in Kansas. Ten thousand people died — an entire town destroyed.” The actual death toll: 12.
Earlier this month in Oregon, he redrew the map of the United States: “Over the last 15 months, we’ve traveled to every corner of the United States. I’ve now been in 57 states? I think one left to go.”
Last week, in front of a roaring Sioux Falls, S.D., audience, Obama exulted: “Thank you, Sioux City. ... I said it wrong. I’ve been in Iowa for too long. I’m sorry.”
Explaining last week why he was trailing Hillary Clinton in Kentucky, Obama again botched basic geography: “Sen. Clinton, I think, is much better known, coming from a nearby state of Arkansas. So it’s not surprising that she would have an advantage in some of those states in the middle.” On what map is Arkansas closer to Kentucky than Illinois?
Obama has as much trouble with numbers as he has with maps. Last March, on the anniversary of the Bloody Sunday march in Selma, Ala., he claimed his parents united as a direct result of the civil rights movement: “There was something stirring across the country because of what happened in Selma, Ala., because some folks are willing to march across a bridge. So they got together and Barack Obama Jr. was born.”
Obama was born in 1961. The Selma march took place in 1965. His spokesman, Bill Burton, later explained that Obama was “speaking metaphorically about the civil-rights movement as a whole.”
Earlier this month in Cape Girardeau, Mo., Obama showed off his knowledge of the war in Afghanistan by homing in on a lack of translators: “We only have a certain number of them, and if they are all in Iraq, then it’s harder for us to use them in Afghanistan.” The real reason it’s “harder for us to use them” in Afghanistan: Iraqis speak Arabic or Kurdish. The Afghanis speak Pashto, Farsi, or other non-Arabic languages.
Over the weekend in Oregon, Obama pleaded ignorance of the decades-old, multibillion-dollar massive Hanford nuclear-waste cleanup: “Here’s something that you will rarely hear from a politician, and that is that I’m not familiar with the Hanford, uuuuhh, site, so I don’t know exactly what’s going on there. (Applause.) Now, having said that, I promise you I’ll learn about it by the time I leave here on the ride back to the airport.”
I assume on that ride, a staffer reminded him that he’s voted on at least one defense-authorization bill that addressed the “costs, schedules, and technical issues” dealing with the nation’s most contaminated nuclear-waste site.
Last March, the Chicago Tribune reported this little-noticed nugget about a fake autobiographical detail in Obama’s Dreams from My Father: “Then, there’s the copy of Life magazine that Obama presents as his racial awakening at age 9. In it, he wrote, was an article and two accompanying photographs of an African-American man physically and mentally scarred by his efforts to lighten his skin. In fact, the Life article and the photographs don’t exist, say the magazine’s own historians.”
And in perhaps the most seriously troubling set of gaffes of them all, Obama told a Portland crowd over the weekend that Iran doesn’t “pose a serious threat to us” — cluelessly arguing that “tiny countries” with small defense budgets can’t do us harm — and then promptly flip-flopped the next day, claiming, “I’ve made it clear for years that the threat from Iran is grave.”

and
• Marking the anniversary of the March 1965 "Bloody Sunday" in Selma, Ala., Obama, speaking at a church, said his parents got together "because of what happened in Selma." Obama was born in 1961.
• Obama told Larry King on CNN -- asked about that anti-Hillary Rodham Clinton YouTube ad, a doctored version of a spot created for Apple computers -- "We don't have the technical capacity to create something like that."
Obama did not know what he was talking about. Any professional media consultant can manipulate images on video. Turns out the creator -- unmasked last week as a political operative who worked for a firm overseeing the technical side of Obama's Web site -- made it at home on a Mac.
• Obama, asked if homosexuality was immoral, in the wake of comments by Joint Chiefs of Staff chairman Gen. Peter Pace, sidestepped the question. After pressure from gay groups, Obama issued a statement stating he did not agree with Pace "that homosexuality is immoral."
Cynicism is like terrorism?
• One of Obama's stump lines is that the biggest obstacle he fights is not any of his rivals, it is cynicism. He used a variation of it during a reception he hosted at a conference here sponsored by AIPAC, the American Israel Public Affairs Committee. Displaying a tin ear, Obama said that one of the enemies is not "just terrorists" or "just Hezbollah" or "just Hamas" -- "it's also cynicism."
• The Tribune dug this up: Obama, in his memoir, Dreams of My Father, writes of a story in Life magazine that influenced him -- about a black man trying to bleach his skin white. No such article could be found in Life or Ebony.
Insider or outsider?
• Another Obama stump line -- he said it again Tuesday morning to the Communications Workers of America here -- is that "I've been long enough in Washington to know that Washington needs to change." He is running against Washington yet his campaign is populated with political professionals who are Washington insiders.
• Obama's embrace of some rhetoric used by rival John Edwards is getting attention. Edwards, in a 2003 speech made for his first presidential run said, "I've spent enough time in Washington to know how much we need to change Washington."

Righto, it's clear she has plently of support about there parts, and indeed nation-wide,
Being on my mobile, and with so many responses it would take me ages to come up with a respectable response to all of them, and that's providing my mobile signal stays strong,
And so I will merely give a round-up of my thoughts and leave this thread, though it will no doubt come up at another time when I have full computer access.
It's clear Palin is popular, and this ellectable, which only makes her more popular, and it is quiet possible she will be ellected, but how much of that is on her ability to be a pres, and how much of it is to get Obama out could be an interesting disection of the vote. It looks like a foolish rush to apear strong to me, and one that you may well regret, but we'll just have to wait and see I guess.

Bottom line is Noir - Palin has MORE experience then Obama had when he was elected. Voters are admitting they were foolish by buying all the hope and change crap from a guy who had a blank resume
People are seeing what a huge mistake they made by handing over the car keys to such a inexperienced rookie who is so in over his head
Sorry if you can't spin all the gaffes made by Obama and Biden. It is typical for the left when they are confronted with how smart their guys are

Kinda off topic, but at what point have I tried to spin anything the obama of Biden has said?
I'm not in this topic defending any liberals or praising obama or anything, I was only talking about Palin.

Just you try and keep up with a detailed debate using only your mobile phone to reply,
but fear not sir, I'll be back in Bristol soon, as for the SNL quote, I proved a youtube (which took a long time to get via mobile I've have you know) of the words coming out of her mouth.

In all fairness, Sarah Palin did not say she could see Russia from her house. Tina Fey did - in a SNL skit.
What Palin said was that Russia can been seen from the shores of Alaska. She was stressing that Alaskans deal with their Russian neighbors a lot- either through trade or on the seas. Alot of business with Russia is done by Alaska
OK Noir, class dismissed

I know what she said, I could only imagin what would happen if D. Cameron was asked how living in south england affected his views on Europe and he said 'well you can see mainland Europe from the south of England. =/

I posted the video on this thread with her saying the words, I wish I quite take a direct quote in text, but as I'm only online via my phone I would have to listen to the video, remember what she said word for word, and then get onto this page and re-type it. Which is a lil awkward, ergo I just posted a link to the interview.

Noir is young and niave. In time as he grows up, and starts to earn a living - I hope he will see what a joke liberalism is. He will work hard and the lieft will punish his achievements by taking a ever increasing amount of his wages
He will see if he sat on his ass and contributed noting to society, the government would have coddled him and provided just enough for him to get by - making him just dependent enough on government not to try and make something of himself
PEople like Ms Palin blows the left out of the water and it is fun to watch the left retreat on everything they told us about women for the last 30 years
Noir forgets about that, as it appears he allows himself to be spoon fed the liberal BS on a daily basis

I really wish I knew you guys irl, you take me for am idiot, and fair dues that's your call, but to say it with such conviction for someone that you really know so little about is laughable, and you do so to such an extent that you asumme my position is always wong, i can even recall threads where I posted in favour of RSRs viewpoint, only to find RSR quoting me to tell me how I was wrog, because ofcourse I must be. Ya, looks like Sarah Palin saying "You can actually see Russia from land here in Alaska." That is a far cry from saying she can see it from her window, as you implied earlier. Alaska is a BIG state after all.

On a related topic, I think the whole Africa continent thing meant that she didn't know that South Africa was a country. I think she just thought it was the southern region of Africa, just as with the U.S. South. There's nothing fantastically ignorant about that, actually...at least not in relation to what plenty of other idiots think.

No it didn't, kid. You posted a false statement (QUOTE). Then followed it with video clip that even proved your QUOTE wrong. Simple as that.
You'd be well served to just admit the error and move on.

I've already said I mis-remembered it ect, but to make 100% sure that everyone is sure, I'll say in caps I GOT THE QUOTE WRONG. Now can we move on or not? The fact that y'all will happily drown the topic over a sentence I put in single quotes is pretty damn daft. But whatever you guys wana do is your choice.

Any more examples on how she is "daft" Noir? We drown the topic over one sentence because it is a LIE, The left has to LIE about her, and what see says because she causes fear in the left when they see how popular she is with the voters
