Obama's first year......

Health Care: Grade of B for making it an issue, putting it in front of the American people. The Republicans have successfully countered all of the Dems efforts at reform, but that was beyond Obama's control.

Leadership: Grade of B+. He's an born leader who inspires a lot of confidence in people. Okay, he doesn't inspire confidence in right-wing Republicans, but they wouldn't like him if he changed everybody's water into wine. And who cares what they think, anyway? They're a marginal group.

Communication: Grade of A-. It's very refreshing to have a president who actually communicates with the American people and keeps them apprised of what is happening. The contrast with the previous administration is like the difference between night and day.

The Economy: Grade of B. I believe he made the right moves in propping up failing financial institutions and the auto industry.

The Environment: Grade of A. He's made all the right moves and said all the right things regarding the climate change crisis.

Foreign Policy: Grade of F. I actually though we (finally) had a president who understood the limits of American military power and understood that the application of that power in today's world, especially in the Middle East, is counter-productive. I thought he understood that war is an anachronism and that economics and PR (PR in the sense of winning people's hearts and minds) are what matters in international relations.

I was wrong. I'm disappointed that he let himself be influenced by the generals in Washington. Shit, as far as Obama's foreign policy is concerned, we might as well have George W. Bush running things. Instead of bombing Muslims and killing them in the Middle East, we should be corrupting them with Coca-Cola, McDonalds, blue jeans and rock and roll. Very few will volunteer for suicide bomb assignments when they've got plenty to eat, Levis jeans to wear, and rock and roll.

Overall Grade: B.

You just say things to insight people don't you? Every one of your comments is specifically designed to insight an agitated response by one or more members on this board. Nothing of substance was posted. The very definition of a troll.

The real report card, one that Mr. Obama has not marked up for himself, contains a great big F.

Spending like a fleet of drunken sailors, taking every effort to raise taxes during a deep recession, unwavering support for the child murder that is abortion, and demanding that socialist policy rule the day in what once was America makes Mr. Obama the worst....president....ever.

B = 3.0
B+=3.5
A-=3.75
B = 3.0
A = 4.0
F = 0

Total 17.25 / 6 = 2.875 = B-

Overall Grade: B.Hmmm?...Why do I suspect that if you had been a resident of Washington DC you would have voted to re-elect Marion Barry for Mayor after he was released from prison?

Now do you understand why your political views are of no consequence?...Simply put, your basis for rationalization is irrational.

Interesting, only considering he stated on the campaign trail what he would do regarding the war in Afghanistan. Why would you have went into his presidency expecting something different than what he promised?

I'll answer for all Democrats: Because they likely never heard him speak about those things. They never listened to what he stated. They were to enamored with their new Messiah that they would have voted for him if he said every American will get a shit sandwich if they vote for me.

Health Care: Grade of B for making it an issue, putting it in front of the American people. The Republicans have successfully countered all of the Dems efforts at reform, but that was beyond Obama's control.
It's not the 'Republicans' that have countered, rather Lieberman and other Democrats. We all know that Democrats have the control, that they don't have the votes says volumes regarding the proposals. Grade: D-

He's not leading anyone, not even Democrats. He had momentum at the onset, he blew it when he said right off, "I won, shut up and get over it." Indeed. No reason for compromise on either side.Grade: F, he's not even leading in his party

Communication: Grade of A-. It's very refreshing to have a president who actually communicates with the American people and keeps them apprised of what is happening. The contrast with the previous administration is like the difference between night and day. In the beginning all was good. Then came the acknowledgment of TOTUS dependence, even from NYT et al. Even with the TOTUS, he started to hit the sour notes fairly quickly. He's not a 'great communicator.' He fails to convey conviction in what he reads/says. There's no heart, even GW did better on issues he cared about. Grade: C

The Economy: Grade of B. I believe he made the right moves in propping up failing financial institutions and the auto industry. He was handed the bailouts/stimulus he asked for. Then he asked for more. The original was wrong and obvious, it got worse after. Now asking for more under different guise. Major Fail, Grade: F-

The Environment: Grade of A. He's made all the right moves and said all the right things regarding the climate change crisis. Even when handed the easy out of 'more information needed' via Climategate, he chose to ignore it and go for even more taxes, coupling his failure on climate and economy. Again, Grade: F-

I agree with your grade, though would add a minus and disagree with your analysis. He's pissed off allies from the get go, unnecessarily and encouraged our enemies, again, unnecessarily. From North Korea to Iran, from Britain to Spain. F-

My predictions:

1. Obama is a one term wonder (well, "catastrophe" is more like it). Under his leadership, America will live through the Carter years all over again. The unemployment figures already make it seem like it's 1979 instead of 2009.... if only I could find my disco shoes.

2. Democrats never learn. In 1993, they undertook forcing socialized medicine down our throats regardless of public opposition to it. In 1994, the Republicans gained control of the House. They are doing the same again. The election of two Republican governors this past election is an ominous sign for Democrats because the same happened in 1993 before their trouncing in 1994. As a result, I predict, the 2010 mid term elections will return the Republicans back in control of the House and, very likely, the Senate.

Obama will then have two choices, pull a Bill Clinton and go along with Congress (which helped him win the 1996 election) or, I think this is more likely, fight them the whole way. Of course, Congress will have enough votes to override his vetoes and Obama will look like a jackass.... but, hey.... if the horseshoe fits.....

That's why 2010 is so critical. He still has ACORN for stuffing ballot boxes and SEIU for intimidation. He will use them to the max to rig elections across the country. They will use any means necessary to retain power. The media will go into full anti-repub mode and ignore all reports of fraud and abuse.

KarlMarx
12-16-2009, 02:25 PM
Gee, wouldn't it be grand if the RICO laws were applied against ACORN?????

hmmmm

(Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organization Act)

Of course that would ultimately mean that Don Barak Corleone would be up on charges

not with this Congress!!!! But one can hope that the next Congress will have some backbone

Was this report card for Obama?

Oh, I thought it was for the Telepromter, after all most of the scoring was done on it's performance.
