Happy Thanksgiving! [Archive] - Debate Policy

The traditional "turkey" is not wholly appropriate in my case. The wife allowed the boy to choose everything for dinner this year and he chose a "turducken". Pretty weird if you ask me, but those I know who have had it said it was very good. McDonald's is right around the corner if not!

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone! Hope you all have a great time with your families, all get fatter & all enjoy the NFL games!

It's a full sized turkey, but along with the stuffing inside the bird is also duck and chicken. Tur duck en - turkey duck chicken!

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!!! I get to spend the day with my husband and guess what - he's cooking!!!! If the weather is good we will go for a ride on the Harley and if not, we'll snuggle in and watch some movies!!!

We are getting ready to eat now, and as far as Turducken I am sure it is Jim's wife is all class , but I love to tease him just the same, LOL

I'll be at the airport, I'm sure the travel will be light but airline employees along with numerous others, tend to work on holidays. I'll bring my camera and work on trying to learn the damn thing! I've been wanting to get a good shot of a KLM 747-400 that takes off every afternoon, beautiful paint job, huge plane.

Just kinda pushed off, then went for a walk. It's pretty cold here, that helped. THEN, seems my daughter's boyfriend made cherry pie and son's girlfriend made pecan pie. Never mind that there were already 3 other pies. So took a sliver of each of the kids pies, took two bites each and simply exploded. Luckily I must have some magnetic field. Actually lucky I didn't barf. :laugh2:

its cold here to. so we didn't go out. I laid on the floor till the stomach went back down to normal size. which took awhile !!! tomorrow is suicide friday. and we're staying home !!!

My family all gathered today for a turkey feast.

Everybody had a pretty good time considering.

Well, everybody except for maybe the turkey.

But he was very polite bird and didn't complain.

Ours was weird, my ex husband looks like he's having a breakdown again over grandpa dying, his brother seemed ansy and uncomfortable to be there tonigh and the kids and my niece snuk into grandmas office to listen to prank phone call dialers and think about who to prank. It was just a weird thanksgiving like people were there but they weren't there so to speak.

Well I'd look at it as the first holiday and everyone survived. Sometimes the only thing one can 'do' is 'be there.' You were. I do hope you enjoyed dinner.

hmm, I think I'll just work christmas I can make doubletime and avoid all that uncomfortable stuff...:cool:
