[QUOTE=sitarro;1673565]Went to Wings Over Houston Yesterday............ World War 2 reenactments. Seems like the last place for kids to hear the truth about WW2.

[QUOTE=sitarro;1673604]Vietnam era and present technology was also represented well. They even mentioned John MCain........

This is an A-4, the type of aircraft that MCain was flying when he was shot down.

Were you using an 18-200mm lens on your D300?

Yes I was and that camera is very heavy to hold all day, I can see why I saw a lot of monopods. That lens definitely works best if you keep from using it to it's extreme length, some sharpness loss is a problem at the 200mm end.

Thats what I use the most is my 18-200mm, in fact the rubber on the front ring has come off from so much use on my D80. I recently got a D300 but I haven't learned how to use it all that well. I've been using it mostly in program mode. It seems almost pointless to have the other 5 or 6 lenses I have with that 18-200.
