I hate to break it to some of you guys, but women in their 40's generally have some wrinkles around their eyes.
I bet she has some...gasp.....grey hairs also.

That's some pretty harsh lighting, I don't think anyone would look good in that situation.

The picture didn't come up when I first posted. This thread is mis-labeled, and should say "Picture of Faith Hill with really bad make-up".
That being said, I've always preferred my women with no make-up at all. When I met my wife I was most attracted to her when she was coming off the practice field or showered up and we'd walk to dinner. She'd get herself dolled up for a party and I'd tell her she was wasting her time. I told the same thing to all my girlfriends and their friends as well. I've never had one believe me, although I've had significant influence because my wife still uses very little.
I tell my daughter the same thing and so far, at age 15, she's still make-up free. In fact she doesn't have pierced ears.
Yeah they can make Hill up to look like a doll, but that's not real.

I think its sad that women feel they must hide their ugliness, or need any product to be beautiful.
Its a part of our shallow culture.
Truly sad, women are beautiful based on their attitudes and actions, not their outer body.

When I was 16 and "trying" to date, an older man told me "if you wanna know what she really looks like take her swimming". Good advice..it worked 100% of the time (but that was before waterproof makeup). The other method was take a good look at momma...now that wasn't 100% but it is still a good gauge of what the future may look like.

It is amazing at the number of products there are out there these days to make a woman more attractive. Fake lashes, spanx (girdles), butt pads and the list goes on.
Hubby says you practically have to take a woman home and get her naked before you know what she really looks like.

I think it is about time women stop trying to fight the inevitable aging process with botox and plastic surgery (which are the only ways to actually get rid of such lines, I assume), and just grow older gracefully. Faith's "lines" are the way our bodies are meant to look after a certain age.

As one who never wore much makeup or needed "enhancement", I suppose it is easy for me to say yes, they should try to be more natural. I agree with Glock that if you are pretty, it will be even better without all that. But there is intense pressure on women in our culture to look fantastic. In fact, your own post starting this thread is a good indication of it. We are not even allowed to age normally without being dismissed, if not outright criticized for it.
I don't see a problem with sucking in the fat to look nice for an occasion. Making it a daily routine seems ridiculous and yes, misleading, to me. In any case, these removable products aren't in the same league as plastic surgery, imo. If a man is only dating a woman because she has a nice ass, etc., and then he discovers it's all smoke and mirrors, I don't really feel too sorry for him, lol.
I think it is mean for men to drool over and expect endless sexiness and youthful looks, and then criticize women for using artifice to achieve the same.
