Top Ten Reasons Chicago didn't get the Olympics:
10. Dead people can't vote at IOC meetings
9. Obama distracted by 25 min meeting with Gen. McChrystal
8. Who cares if Obama couldn't talk the IOC into Chicago? He'll be able to talk Iran out of nukes.
7. The impediment is Israel still building settlements.
6. Obviously no president would have been able to acomplish it.
5. We've been quite clear and said all along that we didn't want the Olympics.
4. This isn't about the number of Olympics "lost", it's about the number of Olympics "saved" or "created".
3. Clearly not enough wise Latina judges on the committee
2. Because the IOC is racist.
1. It's George Bush's fault.

Or perhaps too many of the voters in the IOC viewed the recent beating to death of an African American honor student by African American members of two rival gangs.

I'll bet that was a factor along with the other recent violent crimes.
On the other hand Rio is not overflowing with law abiding citizens either.
I think the Southern continent was just the next place to go so Rio was a shoe-in. Madrid was out because of Greece, Tokyo was out because of China and Chicago was out because of Atlanta. A Continental marry-go-round maybe? Just my opinion.

Joe Wilson and the teabaggers are supposed to be on the list!

i've actually seen some libs blame bush for obama's loss....i thought they were kiddign...they weren't

ESPN was showing footage of some newscaster interviewing people at the Chicago party. The hack was in such shock, he said the only reason could be world resentment for "the last eight years".

Oh, I don't know. Maybe after Obama went around the world to tell everyone that we suck as a nation they took him at his word.
