If you were wondering what the nature of the mature Obama administration would be, once all the laws they want are in place, all the restrictions, madates, and penalties, we're starting to find out.

This doesn't happen often enough.
Sen. John Ensign (R-Nev.) received a handwritten note Thursday from Joint Committee on Taxation Chief of Staff Tom Barthold confirming the penalty for failing to pay the up to $1,900 fee for not buying health insurance.
Violators could be charged with a misdemeanor and could face up to a year in jail or a $25,000 penalty, Barthold wrote on JCT letterhead. He signed it "Sincerely, Thomas A. Barthold."
The note was a follow-up to Ensign's questioning at the markup.

Amazing isn't it...criminalizing the opting out of Obamacare. If they can do that, then they can criminalize refusing to buy a GM car.

Hmmmm...Looking through the DRAFT of the Baucus bill...And as how it contains NO public option, this is all pretty irrelevant. Secondly, if you already have employer provided coverage, again, it's a non-starter. Thirdly, mandating individuals have healthcare coverage is no different than mandating that car owners have insurance coverage. And, finally, the Baucus bill is little more than one big blow-job for the the health insurance industry and Pharma courtesy of Max Baucus (D[<i>for "douchebag"</i>]-MT). Now you know why his teeth are so white.

both Democrats and Republicans have said they do not support the Baucus bill.....obviously then, it is not the reform that will pass....why are you even thinking about it.....the only plan currently being considered is HR3200, which does have a public option.....

Tell me BP are:
1) Blind
2) Spinning
3) Lying
4) All the above
It has become clear as people read the bills being pushed in Congress (something Obama dn many Dems have NOT done) they are finding more and more things that show this is nothing more then a tax and spend welfare program
In the various bills making the rounds in DC, it has been proven people will
pay up to 13% of their income for Obamcare
abortions will be paid for under Obamacare
if you lose your current coverage you will not be able to buy a plan from a privvate insurance company
the cuts in benefits are mounting up as CBO points out the lie Obama has been telling how seniors will not see a reduction in the level of care
Obamacare will add to the deficit - another lie exposed
Obama showed once again that he does not have a clue what is in the bill he is demanding be passed when he denied their were tax increases in the Baucus bill
The Baucus bill uses the word "taxes" to describe the additional money people will pay for Obamacare
What you still refuse to admit BP is it in not Republcinas blocking this sham of a bill - it is Democrats. They have heard form thier voters, they saw the 9012 rally, they have read the damn bill, and they do not want it
Obama can do his never ending media blitz and it still has not changed the minds of the people.
Like your mentor MM, I am sure you will blame others for Obama's problems. You will not understanbd why people would be opposed to tax increases, the government putting ins companies out of business, the Feds running the healthcare industry, and making sure abortions were funded by taxpayer money
Being a student of the MM School of Politics all that matters is Obama and the Dems score a political win. All that matters is Dems increase the power in DC and their hold on people.
Screw it if people pay more in taxes. Who cares if care is rationed for the sick? So what if fewer people will become Doctors since they will not be able to make as much money in the profession? Who gives a damn about the Rx industry if they cut back R&D that is needed to create new life saving drugs because their profit margins are decreased?
Piss of them. All that matters is Dems score a big political win - we will pass these mere details off to the next generation along with the multi trillion dollar bill that will come due and payable
