Fair questions... would be nice to see answers:

http://www.atimes.com/atimes/Middle_East/KI11Ak02.html

Here's just the first 10:

Fifty questions
1) How come dead or not dead Osama bin Laden has not been formally indicted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) as responsible for 9/11? Is it because the US government - as acknowledged by the FBI itself - has not produced a single conclusive piece of evidence?

2) How could all the alleged 19 razor-blade box cutter-equipped Muslim perpetrators have been identified in less than 72 hours - without even a crime scene investigation?

3) How come none of the 19's names appeared on the passenger lists released the same day by both United Airlines and American Airlines?

4) How come eight names on the "original" FBI list happened to be found alive and living in different countries?

5) Why would pious jihadi Mohammed Atta leave a how-to-fly video manual, a uniform and his last will inside his bag knowing he was on a suicide mission?

6) Why did Mohammed Atta study flight simulation at Opa Locka, a hub of no less than six US Navy training bases?

7) How could Mohammed Atta's passport have been magically found buried among the Word Trade Center (WTC)'s debris when not a single flight recorder was found?

8) Who is in the possession of the "disappeared" eight indestructible black boxes on those four flights?

9) Considering multiple international red alerts about a possible terrorist attack inside the US - including former secretary of state Condoleezza Rice's infamous August 6, 2001, memo - how come four hijacked planes deviating from their computerized flight paths and disappearing from radar are allowed to fly around US airspace for more than an hour and a half - not to mention disabling all the elaborate Pentagon's defense systems in the process?

10) Why the secretary of the US Air Force James Roche did not try to intercept both planes hitting the WTC (only seven minutes away from McGuire Air Force Base in New Jersey) as well as the Pentagon (only 10 minutes away from McGuire)? Roche had no less than 75 minutes to respond to the plane hitting the Pentagon.

What a collection of contradicting pieces you got there.

1) Who ever said the government has no pieces of evidence pointing to Osama bin Laden? Why would that be stated as a fact? There is plenty of evidence the hijackers were trained in AQ under bin Laden.

2) What the hell does "without even a crime scene investigation" mean? After the attacks everyone on terror watch lists were being investigated. Airports, hotels, homes, were all being investigated. You know, things like VIDEO cameras that showed them at the airports?

3) If your implying these men were never on the flights then where are they? Even their own families know that they died. And some were caught on camera at the airports. Unless they were just there to do janitorial work for one day.

4) I'm sure in the first hours of the confusion there were plenty of names from terror lists floating around. Many muslim terrorists use aliases and it can be confusing at first. If you've ever worked in the government during times of crisis you'd know how confusing it can be.

5) why wouldn't he?

6) huh? What the hell does the town of Opa Locka being a "hub" of Navy bases have to do with anything? There are military bases near almost any town throughout the entire country. Stupidest fucking question I have ever heard.

7) The passport thing is a myth as far as I know.

8) the Black boxes are not "indestructible". They can usually survive normal airline crashes but when they slam head first into a solid object, full of fuel and explode, then get crushed by tons of concrete.....you get the point.

9) What "elaborate" defense system? In short the various different agencies simply had too much lag time in communicating with each other (FAA - FBI - AF ect). Lots of lessons were learned but basically we did get caught with our pants down.

10) same as 9. They had no way of knowing which of the thousands of planes in the air at the time were the bad guys. They did scramble two F-16s but there was so much confusion they couldn't take any real action.

IMO, considering how vastly many people would have to be involved in pulling
off something like that and taking into account that hardly anyone can keep
their mouths shut I think its safe to say....there was no conspiracy...it really
was a terrorist aka terist act against our country...Bush had nothing to do
with it and it was what it was...period.

Our number will most likely come up again considering the lack of leadership
we find ourselves with....or without! Our prez has traveled the globe apologizing
for our behavior which only says that he acknowledges that we are evil,
imperialistic, greedy, hedonistic and hateful...so much so he must try to
mend fences with the whole rest of the world that we have so wronged.

Maybe we should re access what our problem really is.

Very true.

I think some people believe that our government is so big and powerful that nothing like this could ever happen without it knowing. They don't realize that our country, just like any other, is vulnerable. We are not indistructible and we are not all knowing, if we let our guard down there will be enemies that would be happy to take us down. Maybe this scares some people so they'd rather believe in wild conspiracy theories that their own country "did it" or knew about it and let it happen.

Amazingly enough, people overlook the fact that the 9/11 strike was the second attack on the WTC towers by the same set of terrorists, the first being in 1993. After they figured out that attacking the garage level was ineffective, they set out to study the most lethal way to mount an attack. The one they chose was not only highly effective, it was highly visible as well. Even if the towers had not fallen, via a pancake effect, everyone in the world could see it and in their eyes, they were glorified. One way that many American's underestimate the enemy is that they see them as a bunch of loosely woven fanatics from the backwoods of the universe who have nothing but brute force behind them. These groups of radicals are comprised of individuals from a vast array of backgrounds, including those with college degrees in engineering. duhh

The National Geographics channel did a wonderful program last week focused on taking on the conspiracy theories and approaching each one scientifically. There are excerpts available for viewing here:

Just as Cat Slave said, the sheer numbers of people who would have been required to pull off such a scheme is staggering and inconceivable.

I think the writer should have done his/her homework better. I found inconsistencies, errors and misleading info throughout. Probably less than 5 of the list are somewhat correct.

Of course a tragedy of the magnitude of 9/11 will leave unanswered questions. Never happened in history and nothing at all to compare it to. Some people still swear that a plane never hit the Pentagon, even though there are tons of reports of people picking up the plane parts and body parts from the lawn of the Pentagon. Same for flight 93 in Pennsylvania. Some still think the towers were brought down by demolition, even though after 8 years of research not a single piece of evidence has been brought forth to even remotely consider the possibility.
