The Greatest Thing in the World by Henry Drummond?

I was reading it earlier and it's one of themost profound sermons I've ever read. I was just wondering what your thoughts on it were.

It looks like an interesting sermon. I'll try and read it this week.

I'm only a little way into it and I already have issue with the writers position.

He claims that people were working their way to heaven by keeping commandments, thats just not true. It was their faith in God that was counted unto them for righteousness combined with the blood of the sacrifice which covered their sins for a year. Without blood there is no remission sins.

If by they were saved by keeping commandments then it is not a type of Christ and cannot work.
