Cincinnati Police Officers Calling in Sick
Many Cincinnati Police Officers Calling in Sick
Cincinnati Police confirm to Local 12 an unusual number of officers calling in sick Friday and Saturday night.
Privately, it's being referred to as a case of the 'blue flu.'
This comes as City Manager Milton Dohoney proposed laying off 138 officers as a part of a way to close the city's $28 million budget gap.
Cincinnati Police tell Local 12 the community can expect the same service, because the Vortex Unit is covering areas where they're short.
