Our seasoned congressman from our district is going to hold 2 town hall
meetings......by phone!!!!! One at 11:30 AM and one at 5:30 on Aug
21st. The plan is for his interested constituents to call, leave a phone
number and he/someone will call back to discuss health care, veterans
issues, etc, etc, etc.:lame2:
He claims that he will be able to reach more people this way....lol...long
distance!:laugh2:
ROTFL! How pathetic! I suggested that we hold a town meeting without
him and send him a "tape" to study!
This is pathetic!! But hilarious too.
Night all.

Whoever runs against him should be keeping notes on these kind of actions and remind voters of it during the next election. What a brave representative you have there.

Yes, I range from laughing to crying! He needs to go so someone needs to
step up to the plate.
Last election I voted against every incumbent just to send a message.
Didnt work but it was just the first time.

But who is the one to vote on term limits? And the 2nd question is then, why would they ever stop their own gravy train?

In a perfect world they could only serve 2 years then gone...also no pension
and no perks. We might actually get a real public servant for a change.

I still think we should start holding our own town hall meetings...without
the wimps! Wouldnt that be funny? Show them how small they are in the
scheme of things and then be there for the vote, in person, a lot of us....
I can feel their fear.:laugh2::salute:

Oh, youre gonna love this one.
Apparently his phone meetings (Bart Gordon, District 6 in TN)went over like a rock and some nit wit or
maybe the wimpy congressman himself have a new spin. Bart Gordon will
hold "one on one" meetings on designated days scattered over the district.
One on one......and just how many hours does he intend to "talk" privately
with each angry voter???? This gets more bizarre by the day. The lines
are going to be great! Ill be at the one in Putnam County on the 25th.
Wouldnt miss it for the world. Im taking water, a folding chair and snax.
I can wait him out.
Also, today I tried to contact his Murfreesboro office, the Gallatin office,
the DC office. The first two ony enabled me to leave a message to which
a call would be returned......didnt happen! Surprised, no! The WA phone
rang and rang with not even a voice mail to take information. Ill be calling
at once every day!
It looks like Gordon is laying low! Some representative!:lame2:
It is more than obvious just what "they" consider a "town hall meeting"....
that would be where citizens come to a meeting place and listen like
good quiet little children while the politician tells them what the government
is going to do "for" (to) them. People talking back and demanding answers
and representation is a new ball of wax for them.
The gal at one town hall meeting said they had "awakened a sleeping giant."
Good girl...right on.:salute:
