Thats great! I admire people would can build a project like that. I would never have the patience to work on something like that.

If it doesn't go together with a hammer and bolts, its too delicate for me.

Battleship Massachusetts http://www.battleshipcove.org/drydock.html

the IJN Hasegawa

there's a reason for the red hull and black line. ballast. if the red is showing she's sittin to high. if the black isn't showing she's in to deep. so. you fire the 16" guns and the recoil will capsize it.

WW2 note the camo scheme which they all had. this is the paint scheme that came with my model. I chose not to use it.

Nicely done namvet, I would love to see some close ups of the finished piece. Are all of the antenna lines attached as well? The camo paint scheme is pretty cool, was that for surface camouflage or from the air or both...... very interesting, hadn't seen that before. I've thought of building a carrier but still have a number of planes I want to do first.

well the finished photos are gone. I sent them to a modeler who will post them on his website soon. http://www.lufttiger.com/ click on ships. and you'll his model of the mo. he added a little more rigging. but its pretty much identical to mine. this guy is a master modeler. he builds em then sells em. on ebay i think. ill see if he still has them. I really don't want to it take down from display. so ill see if i can get him to send them. it may still be posted on a WW2 forum. ill check.
yes everything is attached. the camo scheme was for sea and air. this is NOT the model i wanted. i was after a revell. but they don't make warships in this scale anymore. revell was much more authentic. using the actual building plans to make theirs.

I used our lazy susan during contruction. rather than pick it up to turn around i could just spin it around without touching anything. :laugh2: good luck on your projects. you will post some photos???

Any interest in the Enterprise? The 18th century Navy ship.
It an all wood kit. I just don't have the time to work on it so I'm thinking about selling it.
