View Full Version : at 36, caught my first fish!!

Mary, BillyBadAss, and I spent the day on Ocean Obsession II, out of Port Canaveral, FL.

Neither of us (mary and I) had caught a fish before yesterday. I hooked 5 fish total - 3 were brought home - King Mackeral, Trigger Fish, and black bass. A second Bass was tossed back, and a Grunt was used for bait. Mary brought the mahi home.

myself, I've never wanted to fish in the ocean, seemed like too much work...:laugh2:

I'm only basically familiar with fresh water fish..Other than Ocean Perch of course.

Half the fun is also with a beer in your hand preparing them up for lunch,or a dinner...

Very cool!! That trigger fish is very good table fare. Try and keep the teeth..they are very long.

Yeah - the KM really faught hard - except as my first fish, I didn't realize it. The subsequent fish on the line were pretty tame compared.
