They are as American as Baseball and Apple Pie. But a group known as the 'Cancer Project' is targeting hot dogs. They've put up billboards near baseball stadiums, calling hot dogs a threat to kill you because of the health risk of processed meats. They want MLB stadiums to put warning labels on the hot dogs, so that people know the risk. The National Pork Board says its an effort to scare consumers

hiway sign near Bush stadium at this month's all star game
Ceci Snyder, Asst. Vice President of Consumer Marketing for the National Pork Board, sent NewsChannel 5 the following statement shortly after this story originally aired:
"This billboard is clearly an attempt by animal activists to scare consumers and make an extreme statement that is untrue and challenged by many mainstream health experts. Health professionals understand that alcohol, smoking, obesity and lack of physical activity are the fundamental causes of many cancers."
they also want label warnings in stores or anywhere just like cigarette warning labels. so. what's on your grill ???? ill take the hot dog with the cigarette in it !!!!!!!!!!!!
