Im surprised there hasnt been more on this. Still early in the process but there are a few comments ive wanted to make.
First, Obamas reaction was rather poor. He's "deeply concerned"? What the heck does that mean?
Second, Chavez is putting his military on alert and is talking about overthrowing the new government. Is this an opportunity for him to start seizing more power?
Third, I think this is a perfect example of what we have been isolated from for several hundred years. This is common in the world and i fear we will see things like this in our country soon.

He's a commie friend of chavez and the dark lord. They are upset he was deposed. His plan to be president for life like chavez got sqashed by the military. They exiled him. They should have put a bullet in his head.

Some real strong arming going on to get the 'international community' to agree with Obama, Chavez, and Castro.
Even with the falling in line, the story illustrates the throwing under the bus of the people of Honduras, not to mention their Constitution:

nterim Honduran leader vows Zelaya won't return

TEGUCIGALPA, Honduras – Honduras' interim leader warned that the only way his predecessor will return to office is through a foreign invasion, setting up a dramatic showdown with the ousted president who is preparing to come home accompanied by world leaders.
A defiant Roberto Micheletti said in an interview with The Associated Press late Tuesday that "no one can make me resign," defying the United Nations, the Organization of American States, the Obama administration and other leaders that have condemned the military coup that ousted President Manuel Zelaya....
Soldiers stormed Zelaya's residence and flew him into exile early Sunday, after he insisted on trying to hold a referendum asking Hondurans if they wanted to reform the constitution. The Supreme Court, Congress and the military all deemed his planned ballot illegal.
Zelaya, who is an ally of leftist Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez, backed down from the referendum Tuesday, saying at the United Nations that he would no longer push for the constitutional changes he wanted.
One of several clauses that cannot be legally altered in the Honduran constitution limits presidents to a single, 4-year term, and Congress claims Zelaya, whose term ends in January, modified the ballot question at the last minute to help him eventually try to seek re-election. Chavez has used referendums in Venezuela to win the right to run repeatedly.
"I'm not going to hold a constitutional assembly," Zelaya said. "And if I'm offered the chance to stay in power, I won't. I'm going to serve my four years."
The U.N. General Assembly voted by acclamation Tuesday to demand Zelaya's immediate restoration, and the Organization of American States said Wednesday coup leaders have three days to restore Zelaya to power before Honduras risks being suspended from the group.
OAS Secretary-General Jose Miguel Insulza delivered what he called "an ultimatum" as OAS talks regarding the crisis wound past the eight-hour mark. "We need to show clearly that military coups will not be accepted. We thought we were in an era when military coups were no longer possible in this hemisphere," he said.
Spain's Foreign Ministry announced Wednesday that it is recalling its ambassador from Honduras to protest the coup, saying it is acting as part of international efforts to reinstate Zelaya.
Micheletti vowed not to resign no matter how intense the international pressure became. He insisted Honduras would be ready to defend itself against any invasion by any Latin American country.
He did not name any specific countries, but earlier Tuesday, Chavez said any aggression toward Zelaya from Micheletti's government should prompt a military intervention by the United Nations....

TEGUCIGALPA (Reuters) - Honduran troops and police clashed on Tuesday with hundreds of supporters of ousted President Manuel Zelaya outside Brazil's embassy where he took refuge after slipping back into the country in a bid to return to power.
Police fired tear gas at the demonstrators, who threw rocks back at security forces, and a Reuters photographer said at least two gas canisters landed inside the embassy compound.
Soldiers patrolled streets around the embassy and enforced an all-day curfew called by Honduras' de facto government to dampen the protests in support of the leftist Zelaya, who was toppled in a June 28 coup.
Zelaya ended almost three months of exile by sneaking back into Honduras on Monday. He sought refuge at the Brazilian embassy to avoid being arrested, and accused security forces on Tuesday of preparing an attack.
"The embassy is surrounded by police and the military ... I foresee bigger acts of aggression and violence, that they could be capable of even invading the Brazilian embassy," Zelaya said in an interview with Venezuelan broadcaster Telesur.
A police spokesman said all the protesters had been dispersed.
There's also this report (http://voselsoberano.com/v1/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=686:asesinan-a-manifestante-en-colonia-victor-f-ardon-de-tegucigalpa&catid=1:noticias-generales) of a protester killed by the army today. Considering the status of the present regime as an authoritarian military administration, we can expect little respect for the rights of protesters and perhaps even the possibility of violent and brutal repression if they are seriously threatened by the restoration of the prior administration.

I'm somewhat surprised to hear that Zelaya's suddenly become a horrible leftist despot, too. That must have been a very recent development, amirite? ;)

TEGUCIGALPA, Honduras — Honduras' coup-installed government silenced two key dissident broadcasters on Monday just hours after it suspended civil liberties to prevent an uprising by backers of ousted President Manuel Zelaya. Dozens of soldiers raided the offices of Radio Globo. Officials also shut down Channel 36 television station, leaving it broadcasting only a test pattern.
Rene Zepeda, a spokesman for the interim government, said the two outlets had been taken off the air in accordance with a government emergency decree announced late Sunday that limits civil liberties and allows authorities to close news media that "attack peace and public order."
Supporters of the deposed leftist president vowed to march in the streets Monday in defiance of the emergency order and carry out what Zelaya calls a "final offensive" against his ouster on the three-month anniversary of the coup.
"They took away all the equipment. This is the death of the station," said Radio Globo owner Alejandro Villatoro, describing the dawn raid on the station.
Station employees scrambled out of an emergency exit to escape the raid that Villatoro said involved as many as 200 soldiers.

Filthy socialist sympathizers should keep their bing f-ing mouths shut. Or, you could put your money where your mouth is, buy a plane ticket and get your ass down there to support whichever retard you support the most.
But then, you'd rather run your flap on a message board like the big boy you are.:fu:

Lord knows why you've even dragged yourself back here, Cletus, unless the San An municipal authorities need to repair the leak in your septic system caused by faulty cardboard tubes.
