June 6, 2009 is the 65 anniversary of D-Day. It was the beginning of the end of WWII in Europe, and the defeat of Hitler's Nazi Germany
What our troops accomplished on that day was amazing. Against all odds tens of thousands of 19 and 20 year old kids took those beachs with incredible bravery and determination
The media covered the action with pride and expressed how the German Army was being driven back - and the huge losses the US suffered.
Here is how todays liberal media would have covered the same story

Actually D-Day would never have happened with today's media. The loses in North Africa in 42 would have been so twisted and used by the media that following ops would not have taken place. Not to mention Guadalcanal and the Coral Sea.
Fortunately in those days the media was on the side of America, unlike now.

Actually today's media would have been pushing for talks with Japan after Pearl Harbor, and Hitler to avoid a world war
After all in the eyes of the liberal media America is blame for all the worlds problem, and we did provoke Japan with the oil embargo

The American people won WW2. The dems of the time used WW2 to put their socialist agenda in place. They also were segregationist. White and black sections. Internment camps. They established the base of the communist programs we have today.

No doubt between 1932 and 1941 Dems did everthing possible to prolong the depression, expand government, and take as much money in taxes away from the producers as possible
It was FDR that created the worlds all time biggest ripoff - social security
However, for the most part FDR was a good war President. We wanted total victory and would not even think about talking to our enemies
Were mistakes made - sure. No war has ever been fought without them. But the US media was on the side of their country - unlike todays liberal media

Yep, as usual we are in complete agreement. People need to look at history more to see what actually went on that got us where we are. It also helps to avoid the same pitfalls that happened back then.
The map with the pitfalls is right there to see and it's being ignored.

and now we have another big time liberal moonbat as President who is spending us into oblivion, and will make the economic conditions much worse
As far as national defense, Obama does not want to roll over our enemies he just wants to roll over

Tell it like it is, brother!
Media is out for themselves, and most are no longer acting in the best interests of our nation by failing to address the real lessons from history. That would mess up their pompous agenda - all goes back to "ego" IMO.

When will MSNBC cover prayer sessions by Obama supporters to and in honor of the Chosen One?
I for one am not surprised by this comment. However, as the economy sinks deeper because of Obama's polices, these same liberals will spin how Obama is only human and can't wave a magic wand and fix the economy overnight

RSR, it is startling to comprehend that you are really this ignorant. You are really scraping the bottom of the barrel to cut and paste shit like this.
The whole "let's blame liberals for the brunt of history" is getting really old and stale. Do you not have any better thoughts or ideas than this? Are you really this crass, bitter and vindictive?
Then again, it has to be a horrible existence when you are late 40s, no friends, no family, no life as most people know it. Spending your entire day regurgitating hateful shit on message boards and cursing people you don't even know.
RSR, you need to have a talk with God. He loves everyone, even you.

Go ahead and laugh. I am sure the others will laugh, too.
That's OK. I have my life and you have yours. I have my husband and my daughter. You have yourself.
I prefer my life, thank you.
Now be a good boy and go post more horseshit. The board is depending on you.

If you read the Harry Potter series you would understand how funny this is. And you could see the parallels and why I refer to him as the dark lord.
Bellatrix Lestrange = nancy pelosi
Dolores Umbridge = hillory clinton
Lucius Malfoy = harry reid
Crabbe = murtha
Goyle = kennedy
Pick a character and name a liberal to match.

Don't forget the blame-game, Red States! The most predicatable card in the bag of tricks: "look at the mess we inherited!" I know our new President is just one guy, and I kind of like his style, but come on...business is business: he should never have signed up for this job that effects millions if he is just going to keep immaturely passing the buck whenever it's convenient. Worse, have his media worshippers sheild him.

That never stops, and is a on going tactic of the left. Bill Clinton was a victim even though he committed perjury. Al Gore was a victim even though he did lose Fl and the election. John Kerry was a victim even though he was a lousy candidate and a flip flopper on the issue.
With Obama the left will use multipal escuses. It is Bush's fault; Republicans would not approve enough money for needed stimulus; talk radio and the right smeared the President's policies and good intentions; the people were not patient and did not wait long enough for the policies to work; and of course an oldie but goodie - the racists in this country are out to destroy this fine man regardless of the good he is doing

Now you are catching on Martin. FDR, State both knew about what was going on. So did Churchill and the Red Cross. All were looking after their own end games.
