James Harrison, Defensive NFL player of the year, and the one who returned an INT for 100 yards to secure the Super Bowl victory this year, is refusing to attend the typical yearly SB winners invite to meet the president.
Way to go, James! Stay home and celebrate your multiple trophies, awards & millions of dollars!
Quite frankly, I would do the same damn thing. I don't see it as an honor to the players but more of a photo op for the presidents when they hold these events. And I'm not picking on Obama, and to show that Harrison is consistent, when they won the SB in 2006 he also refused to go and see GW.
The man plays for the love of the game and avoids the limelight. If the lame politicians want to see them, let them pay full price and attend a game at Heinz Field.
