The lastedt game boy is the nintendo DS, which has been very successful.

I don't know why the dropped the name 'game boy' but I think it happened after the game boy colour.

I think it was more to do with rebranding, Nintendo has done a very good job at tapping into 2 previosly non-gaming markets, Women and the over 50's, which is no mean feat. and the words 'game' and 'boy' are not great marketing tools to use for that market.

The DS Lite is the newest one, and takes it up to a new level with touch screen technology, so that you get games that you wouldn't be able to play on any other system.

I do worry about Nintendo's continued attempts to push cel-shaded Zelda games on us, but everyone's got their own bad habits.
