Good day DPers, putting this here as i guess its a kinda ethical topic.

Photoshop, a program that allows photos and other images to be altered. Mostly used for fun, but it can bring about situations that lead to the questioning of morality

for example

A 15 year old girl poses nude but the photograph has a photoshopped head of of an 18 year old. Is it immoral to look?

A 18 year old girl poses nude but the photograph has a photoshopped head of a 15 year old. Is it immoral to look now?

Photoshop is a very powerful tool, and it would be very easy to make a clean transpher of heads.

The problem is futher added to by the fact that Women hit sexual maturity around 13-15, and so a 14 or 15 y/o with a 18 y/o head would be impossible to tell the difference.

Also, for any of those who are doubtful of the power of photoshop, there was a famous case about a year ago where a girl was able to post pics of herself topless, but had photoshoped it to make her look like a guy, there where rummors that she was a girl (prob started by her on mule accounts) and in the end she was found out, but i must say i always thought she was a girl.

So, share with me your thoughts...

I would have to disagree on one point, Noir. I think women's bodies do change quite a bit between 13 and 18. I think any man looking at the body of a 13 year old knows what he is doing.

It then starts to bring about the notion of 'don't ask don't tell' as like DMP says, its deception by the creator...so does that make it moral as such?

P.S, also i am using the age of 15 as the legal age of consent here is 16, but am i right in understanding it is 18 in most of the US and 21 in some states? That would make the problem even worse.

Age of consent varies by state. Some states it's as low as 16 - assuming the other partner is no more than x-years older than the younger.

There's really not much that can be done, unless the viewer is told the age of the person in the picture. Even still...it's weird because a girl who is one-day removed from whatever the age of consent is, is no more or less able to make a wise choice simply by having the anniversary of her birth pass.

Im not sure how any person who looks at a picture can tell the age of the person involved unless its obvious. But if you want to be safe, avoid it all.

Of course, this begs an even bigger question. Is it moral to view pornography at all?

Nope, no problems

But there are plenty of sites that are filled with posts and pics from young'uns, and i saw one the other day of a 15 year old, who looks a hell of allot older, made me wonder what intent one needs to be immoral, cus if i wasn't told she was 15 i sure as hell wouldn't have known.

The immorality isn't dependent upon the age or suspected age. Most would argue Porn is immoral regardless.

I would concur, i hate pornography, and most especially women who try and justify it, but whatever floats their boat.

I happen to have no opinion on Porn. To me an image isn't anything - the motive of the viewer is the bigger problem.

depends on the definition of pornography.....i would rather have nudity on tv than violence.....

If I may just say, this is not happening on a pron website or anything like that, it's just on a normal forum, and it's the 15 year olds that E tKibg and posting the pics. Ergo is it the 15 year olde that are legaly responsible?
