I put little value in Psychiatrists' Opinions...even when they seem to agree with my opinion.
Liberals clinically mad, concludes top psychiatrist
WASHINGTON – Just when liberals thought it was safe to start identifying themselves as such, an acclaimed, veteran psychiatrist is making the case that the ideology motivating them is actually a mental disorder.
"Based on strikingly irrational beliefs and emotions, modern liberals relentlessly undermine the most important principles on which our freedoms were founded," says Dr. Lyle Rossiter, author of the new book, "The Liberal Mind: The Psychological Causes of Political Madness." "Like spoiled, angry children, they rebel against the normal responsibilities of adulthood and demand that a parental government meet their needs from cradle to grave."
While political activists on the other side of the spectrum have made similar observations, Rossiter boasts professional credentials and a life virtually free of activism and links to "the vast right-wing conspiracy."
...
Dr. Rossiter says the liberal agenda preys on weakness and feelings of inferiority in the population by:
creating and reinforcing perceptions of victimization;
satisfying infantile claims to entitlement, indulgence and compensation;
augmenting primitive feelings of envy;
rejecting the sovereignty of the individual, subordinating him to the will of the government.

Ya know - the more I think about it, the more I see it.
With the failing family unit and worsening parent-child relationships, People are growing up seeking what they've never had - a proper relationship with their Parents. They seek to be loved and seek boundaries. Thus, liberals demand attention (welfare) and fight agains freedom (fairness doctrine). They can't solve their problems or reconcile their shortcomings, so they demand 'tolerance' - except the irony with that is...they don't tolerate INtolerance to their fetishes, problems, and idiocy.
In the ancient world, Sodom and Gomorrah was the epitome of liberal life. Given the immoral direction and war against Christianity the liberals are waging, if this is never stopped, our destiny will be much the same.

And also much like children, they think their "parent"s' resources are unlimited.

It gives me hope for the psych industry. One of their own pointing out their insanity. Its only the 2nd honest thing I have ever heard come from a psychiatrist.
An entire industry based on a guy's opinions who had a thing for his mom because she messed with his head.
I watch how they screw up the kids of friends of mine by medicating them into subjection. So they are more like zombies when all the kid needs is some swats and discipline in his life. Although the parent can go to jail for that or lose custody rights.
Prescribing drugs to medicate people into forgetting their problems instead of actually dealing with the problems. Prescribing pills like they get a percentage of the proceeds. If you are not giddy all day everyday you are depressed regardless of circumstance. As far as I am concerned the psych industry should be eliminated except maybe neuro-psychologists one actually helped a kid I know.
Someone I am very close to had a Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) and was forced to see several psych doctors of various persuasions who all insisted the person was just depressed but had no brain injury. They kept trying shove pills down their throat when as it turned out the person actually had multiple brain injuries. When a person is treated so badly, by so many so called doctors for so many years that they actually have tears of joy when they find out they have a brain injury there's a problem in that industry.

There can be no unity in the USA. There is to great a divide between the ideas of each side. That is unless the left is willing to compromise while the right holds its ground.

When liberals demand that half the country (the low and middle income) pay for little (or none) of what they receive from government, while the other half (The upper middle income and above) pay for far more than what they receive, and at the same time insist that the arrangement is "fair".... What can they be, besides insane?

Having your mind made up about the situation before it's even begun is helping the country unite, though?

Little tip:
Just beside 'quote' button is another little button. As you read replies you wish to quote and reply to, tick that little box. It'll turn orange, and at the FINAL reply you wish to quote, hit the normal 'quote' button.

Now, all the replies where you've turned the other button orange will be included in your reply. :)
You can multi-quote and reply to each comment in one reply. IMO it makes threads MUCH easier to follow. :)

That's a fallacy. You're trying to divert the topic.

I tried, but this setup is new to me and it takes me a while. Sorry, I promise I'll get it. I don't want to fill up the board with my attempts to quote properly.
No, I'm not trying to divert the topic. I actively try to seek out others with differing opinions and find realistic solutions. I don't subscribe to the mindset of "it's over, it won't happen, case closed," I see so many people falling in line with. I cannot stand apathy.
We are the fourth branch of the government. We have a lot more power and say than many people want to accept or understand, and a big part of healing this country is trying to find positive solutions to issues. Otherwise, there will never be unity, and a self-fufilling prophecy has been...fufilled...

I'm not looking for Unity...I'm not caving in to the Liberal, Democrat, Socialist, Communist agenda..

There won't be unity as long as the illness of 'modern liberalism' is 'cured'. Modern Liberalism will never be cured because the Godless masses don't seek a cure.
