Conservatives claimed Obama was the most liberal member of the Senate and a socialist. They said he associated with terrorists. They said he wanted to raise taxes and redistribute wealth.
Americans voted for him in huge numbers.

America did not vote for Barack Obama because of those things. America voted for Barack Obama for two reasons:
1) George W. Bush a screw up if there has ever been one.
2) Barack Obama is a very charismatic man. One of his biggest assets is that he is not George Bush or anything like him.
May Barack Obama serve this nation and its people (all of them) faithfully and truthfully. May his leadership unite Americans again. May he be strong in his convictions when need be and humble and willing to listen to the rest of us when it serves America best.

since they make up 13% of the population they also make up 13% of the voters. if 90% of them vote for one candidate that means that 11.7% of total votes for Obama came from blacks.

I am not arguing with you on the race thing but you need to keep in mind that if blacks as a whole voted like they normaly do then the election would have been a WHOLE LOT CLOSER. The point being made was not that black votes count less, on the contrary, this election they counted for a hell of lot more than they ever have and that is why he won by the majority of votes....

America did not vote for Barack Obama because of those things. America voted for Barack Obama for two reasons:
