Probably not a good idea, too expensive a product. You should call your lender and see if you might qualify for some other solution.

What's your income and what are the expenses?

Edit ...that's one of the first things I ask anyone inquiring about bankruptcy. Reverse mortgages do work for some folks. There are other options.

if your really hurtin' ask your mortgage co (or broker) about an interest only mortgage. all you'll pay is the interest and your escrow. we're assuming your alone, the mortgage is in your name only???? also ARM's are coming back down. you'll have to go thru HUD for the reverse.
