Since 1945, the GOP platform has been rooted in fear. From '45 to '87, it was the Cold War and the 'Red Menace'. In the '60's, it was the civil rights movement as well. In the '80's and 90's it was the immoral minority dragging the nation down...You know the gays, lesbians and bisexuals. Then came 9/11, and then it was the terrorists we had to be afraid of. And now, the GOP has run out of intellectual ammunition. We're supposed to be afraid of Obama because he's a Muslim and terrorist sympathizer...Because he's the wrong kind or Christian...Because he's a socialist. To say that the GOP message is schizophrenic is being generous.
The net result of the GOP's preying on your fears has been an intractable, and potentially bankrupting, invasion and occupation of a country which was no threat to anyone beyond its borders. The REAL enemy...you remember, Al Qaeda...was allowed to regroup and rebuild and recruit. The economy was drained to the point of collapse. And you want more of the same with with Grampy McCain and Caribou Barbie!?! Sheesh!
you mean like obama scary all the senior citizens about their SS
you mean like obama scaring people into what a disaster awaits this country if mccain is elected because they would be another 4 years of bush...

Are you suggesting we shouldnt be afraid of socialism? So we should just stop telling the truth because you say it's "fearmongering"?
We shouldnt tell people they will be oppressed because they might be afraid. How evil of us!
And I am not even addressing the pure hypocrisy of your complaint. Lets make old people afraid. Lets make black people afraid. Lets make the poor afraid. Its your entire freakin agenda!
I am sick and tired of you dishonest, corrupt, hypocrites trying to take my freedom and enslave people. I try to give you guys the benefit of the doubt. Blame ignorance and an unwillingness to learn. But its simply not true. Its just evil.
There is no reason with you people. You just want to see the world burn.

Are you suggesting that after all these decades there was never a real threat to America and our way of life? The Soviets never threatened to nuke us, could of fooled JFK. Gays aren't a problem in our society? They have spread HIV/AIDS and have extermely high child molestation rates within their community. Its funny how you can mention 9/11 and then go on as if there is no terrorist threat.
Do Republicans run on fear? You bet they do. Fear of having our economy run into the ground by socialist pigs like Obama. Fear of being attacked under a weak liberal President who won't retaliate just like they did multiple times under Clinton. Fear of losing the American dream and our Constitutional rights by a King Hussein that despises free speech, hates the right to own weapons, and wants to bring about income redistributive change.
These threats are very real, and there is real reason to fear it can and will happen under the reign of King Hussein.
Its also rediculous to go after Repubs for using fear during the election, as if Democrats don't. Their entire campaign is based on both lies and fear. Fear of losing more standing on the world stage. Fear of allowing the citizens make their own laws as opposed to a few liberal judges. Fear of global warming. Fear of all Constitutional rights being defended for another four years.

It's all they have to run on in 2008, doc.

But, I don't think it's going to be so "giving" in this election cycle in America. Really, it just ain't the America that I know and I don't think your country understands America to be run by "fear" either, do you?
How about that Foster's? Ready for another?

What amazes me about you sicko, is that you act so condescending while drunkenly slurring your inane posts from your trailer in that shit hole Mississippi and keeping track of the redneck winners of some obnoxious mud track races. I think all these things qualifies you as the poster drunk for the Dimwitocrat hacks......... all hail Osamabama.:laugh2::laugh::lmao::fu:
Does Bully share your trailer with you?

Fear works PB, it's been used in our federal and state elections since we started having them. Back in the 1950s one of our Prime Ministers used a "Reds under the bed" Communist scare to try and pull and election out of the fire. Before that we had campaigns based on the "Yellow menace" (I fully admit we're a xenophobic nation) from the north. Fear works big time that's why all politicians use variations of it.
I'll be pleased to have a Cascade this evening thanks PB :cheers2:
