View Full Version : John McCain: Desperate and Dishonest

McCain is out of touch, out of ideas and almost out of time. All he has left is lies.
John McCain cranked up a searing character assault on Democrat Barack Obama Thursday, branding him "too risky" for the White House, as he raced to rescue his diving poll numbers.
McCain issued a hard-hitting negative commercial, slamming his rival's judgement and candor and accusing him of not telling the truth about the extent of his acquaintance with 1960s radical William Ayers.
The Obama camp said the ad was "desperate and dishonest" and an attempt to distract voters from the worsening economic crisis and the McCain campaign's darkening prospects in the November 4 election.

Curious.
McCain, a real killer of innocent civilians, is attacking Barack Obama for a casual and minor relationship with someone who never killed anyone.
Ayers—referred to by the McCain campaign as “terrorist Ayers,” as if it were some military title—is, it deserves pointing out, a private citizen with no connection to Obama’s presidential campaign. He was never convicted of any crime nor charged with anyone’s death.
...
Part of the McCain campaign’s focus on this issue is aimed at demonizing the mass opposition that helped to force an end to the Vietnam War and rehabilitating the war itself. Only in this context can one understand the incongruous accusation by McCain—the former fighter pilot shot down while bombing heavily populated areas of Hanoi—that Obama is guilty of associating with someone involved in the “bombing of innocent civilians.”

Only a real fucking dimwit would equate a domestic terrorist to a soldier.

Obama's relationship with Ayers was casual and insubstantial. Saying it is anything else, much less a defining attribute of Obama's character, is dishonest.
On the other hand, McCain has lauded G. Gordon Liddy's principles despite Liddy's admiration of Hitler. That is far, far worse than anything character defect Obama's relationship with Ayers might imply.

If i were starting my political carreer, i dont think id be starting it in a home of someone who i have a casual and insubstantial relationship with.
I also wouldnt be running his organization to brainwash children into believing marxist propaganda.
In fact, I dont think Id even have a casual relationship with the man.

if ayers is such a great guy, why is obama afraid to tell the truth about ayers and try to brush his relationship with ayers under the rug? why doesn't obama say what a great guy ayers is

so obama did not know the guy....just some guy in the neighborhood....facts speak for themselves, don't shoot the messenger
But the relationship between Obama and Ayers went deeper, ran longer and was more political than Obama -- and his surrogates -- have revealed, documents and interviews show.

Hey fuckstick! If you're going to post accusations, you might be well served to check into your data first. You posted:
Only in this context can one understand the incongruous accusation by McCain—the former fighter pilot shot down while bombing heavily populated areas of Hanoi
when in fact, from: http://www.friendsofmccain.com/about/
In the early morning of October 26, 1967, just 3 months after the Forrestal disaster, Lt. Commander McCain departed for his 23rd bombing mission over North Vietnam. This one was particularly dangerous. McCain and his fellow pilots were targeting a power plant in the center of Hanoi.
As McCain was completing his bombing mission, a Soviet-made surface-to-air missile struck his plane, shearing off the right wing. McCain ejected as his plane spiraled violently to earth. The force of the ejection knocked him unconscious and both of his arms and one leg were broken.
Substantiated by: http://afp.google.com/article/ALeqM5hewq7EZm6vjFUuBSRD-0PUV3bbGw
Dai recounted how on October 26, 1967 his Missile Battalion 61 spotted McCain's plane, launched from an aircraft carrier in the Gulf of Tonkin to hit the capital's Yen Phu power plant.
and this: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/newstopics/uselection2008/johnmccain/2961788/John-McCain-endorsed-by-his-Vietnamese-jailer.html
John McCain was shot down and badly wounded while bombing a Hanoi power station on his 23rd mission over North Vietnam in 1967. He was a prisoner for over five years.
Dispute?
No. They're just not relevant.

If Bin Laden discontinues terrorist activities for the next 20-30 years, and in that time he lends himself and money to bettering the nations and/or communities he resides in - will he then be an OK guy to you and an asset?

Yup, you bet he has. Obama should take the oppurtunity to have that community asset with on the campaign trail and they can both stand on the American flag.

how, by giving lots of money to Obama?......
Ayers is still looking for that new symbol of hope to replace his old flags and signs. He could do a lot worse than to start with a photograph of him taken in 1997. It shows Ayers accepting Chicago's Citizen of the Year award after securing the city a $49.2 million Annenberg Award for school reform.
"Makes you Citizen of the Year just like that," Ayers says of the hefty grant, laughing. Shaking his hand in the photo is Mayor Daley -- the new one, whose dad's police treated Ayers so inhospitably all those years ago.
http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?f=/c/a/2001/10/03/DD235154.DTL&hw=Ayers+Daley&sn=001&sc=1000
I don't think a B-movie script could do a better depiction of a cynical villain, and that was written by a guy who LIKED him.....
he bought "respectability" with Annenberg's money....except the only people who sold it were liberals.....
but he wins the election. so eat it !!!!!!!!!!

Liberal extremists bathing a Liberal extremist in a undeserved honors is not my idea of a respected educator. Whatever title he has been handed it does not change the fact that he is a domestic terrorist.
