I don't get stressed very often but the quickest, simplest way for me is to logically look at whatever situation has gotten me stressed and realize that my stress isn't going to make the situation better. That my stress is just making the situation worse and to just let it go. Take a couple deep breaths and move on.

Alternately my wife can almost instantly calm me with just a hug and a few words. She always knows just what to say and how to say it.

One of three things:

1. Most mature: I calm myself down

2. I throw myself into cleaning house.

3. I give a test and throw in an essay or two.

Exercise. I use Ninjitsu, Kung-Fu, and Tae Kwon Do. (yeah, three VERY different disciplines.)

Exercise releases endorphins, and can bring on a state that is much like meditation at the same time as releasing a natural blend of hormones that help you with stress. The absolute best thing you can do for stress (as well as bi-polar disorder) is keep to a regular regimen of exercise.

I also meditate, it has its own benefits as well as different hormones. You can get the same effect from reading, jogging, etc.

Lately, come online :). We are moving and my house is going to be prety much completely empty for a couple months, it's maddening...

Yoga. I eat healthy foods. If I crave fatty food, I will put some coconut in the oven and have roasted cocount or something vs. crap. Listen to music, sing, cuddle with my kids, go and DO something, stay positive, and work out (running, Kung-fu, etc). Anything to release those endorphines ;)

I enjoy proving Des wrong on most of his/her arguments as a way to release endorphines.

The best stress reliver known to man is to kill something! Preferably something big on two legs. It will definitely relive your stress!

OMG, if I didn't know better, I'd think you were Kid Rock and Pam Anderson. Or, should I call you Tommy? :laugh2:
