Say you could just up and move, where would you love to live. You still must support yourself with current assets and or work.

I'm giving this some thought.

Ugh...no winter? That blows.

I want a place with all four seasons. :)

I hate the cold, snow, and ice

The average temp is about 40

blah. 40 FTL.

The places I picked have feet of snow per year, yet 90 degree weather in the summer, and every mix in between. :)

To each his own DMP

I am looking to skip living through winter, save on heating bills, and perhaps have a pool in the backyard

I have seen nice 3 BR 2BA single family homes for about $135,000

Around Prescott or Flagstaff. I really like Northern Arizona allot. You get the seasons, Az is pretty gun friendly and real estate prices are pretty good.

For a while, Bermuda.

Permanently, in the USA. In a little cottage in a seaside village, where the climate isn't hot. Probably east coast, though Oregon sounds nice too.

D: gotta have those 4 seasons...

I've been to Missoula, a beautiful place! Toooo cold in the winter though. Hickory is also a very nice place. Most of the women there do have teeth .

I'm so sick of California I would willingly embrace a Montana winter. Women with teeth... a good thing.

Then you haven't lived here long enough.

I would like to be a nomad....pick a small town an hour away from a big city.....live there for six months to a year exploring all the things to see within a day's drive....then when I get tired of it, move a thousand miles away to the next small town and repeat.....

The Cotswolds area was the backdrop for a portion of the book I just finished, Moscow Rules by Daniel Silva. Thanks for the visual.

I love Southern California too much to move. I need a place where it never snows, and the beach is accessible.
If for some reason I had to move (outside of SoCal), it would be to Austin, Texas. Which is an awesome place.
If I really wanted to pack up and get out, I would move to Melbourne, Australia. An incredible beautiful city.

Dude... have you been to Tulsa? It's not really a place people move to. I mean, if you want to move to OK, try Oklahoma City or Norman. Much greener.

I think I agree with PMP... I'd get an RV and drive, stay somewhere for about a week, then go on. But nowhere east of the Mississippi and north of the Ohio rivers for me, thanks!

It's nice out here. I have to tell you, though, I commute through Clayton County (US 19/41) every day. Thank God I'm in Fayette County nd not Clayton!

I understand, I never venture into Clayton Country unless I just can't avoid it..
You may remember a few month ago while you were looking for a place to live I told you to avoid Clayton..

BTW you need to take the family to Callaway Gardens for this....I promise you'll love it!

I've heard of Callaway Gardens. That looks like fun. We did go to the North Georgia State Fair in Marietta a few weeks ago. It was enjoyable, but I think I've been spoiled, living close to one of the largest fairs in the nation in WA. There's a fair in Fayetteville this weekend that I think we're going to as well.

The Ga fair is in Perry now...I think..that's the BIG one..it used to be at Lakewood years ago, I haven't been since then..1970 maybe.

Callaway Gardens is just north of Ft. Benning. About the same drive time for you and Darin..ya'll could meet an have a great time. The Christmas light thing (package) is worth every cent.
