I have come to the decision after months of research to not pursue my B.S. in Psychology. Why? Because the field I want to pursue there are no positions that I have been able to locate. The only positions I have been able to find are in social work and school counselor ( I have enough issues going on with my son, I really don't want to have to deal with other people's kid's issues) and these positions starting out with a Master's is around $30,000.00 a year.
hmmm let's think about this for a minute
4 year degree $30,000.00
2 year masters $ 20,000.00
= $50,000.00 total to start off making $30,000.00
OR
2 year associates of applied science in web development $15,000.00
= start off at 45,000.00 to 70,000.00 a year ( by the way I did locate 83 positions with this degree in the past 30 days)
and this is my other passion. Thankfully all of the classes I have already taken will still apply towards this so it's not a big deal to switch.
