...The real coup, however, is in the prices. An unused Prius requires about $26,672 to take home. The used version, with fewer than 10,000 miles, goes for around $27,945. That's right, nearly $1,300 more. More incredible: a 2007 model with more than 22,000 miles will only save you $276 compared to the price of a shiny new 2008. We're not sure you can even call that depreciation....

I was at a Mini dealership the other day and the salesman said the same thing is happening with them. I couldn't get a new Mini until maybe October, there just aren't any available.

Toyota has long been known to hold it's value very well. Now the Mini Cooper, built by BMW in a British factory? The jury is still out on that one other than it is too expensive for what it is and unreliable for the everyday driver.
Thanks for considering the environment!!!!!!!!!!

I drive a Toyota but I don't get very good mileage.
HMMM, maybe it's because it has a 5.7L V8.

Gee, thanks! LOL! How much you think from LA to Chicago? One must admit, a car that appreciates has to be a good thing.

You do have an excellent point there. A car that appreciates is pretty awesome.
I don't know if you have ever seen Topgear on BBC but its pretty funny. Its about cars, mostly muscle cars. They were going to get a dog for a mascot for the new season and name it Prius but they decided it was to cruel to name a dog Prius so they didn't get a mascot after all.

LOL! I'm still debating whether my next car should be a Mustang or Miata, then again, I may go with super gas savings. Hopefully by that time, it won't be such a dilemma.
