“All chaplains are to perform divine service tomorrow, and on every succeeding Sunday…. The commander in chief expects an exact compliance with this order, and that it be observed in future as an invariable rule of practice—and every neglect will be considered not only a breach of orders, but a disregard to decency, virtue and religion.” Head-Quarters, Middle Brook, June 28, 1777. “While we are zealously performing the duties of good citizens and soldiers we certainly ought not to be inattentive to the higher duties of religion. To the distinguished character of patriot, it should be our highest glory to add the more distinguished character of Christian.”Head Quarters, V. Forge, Saturday, May 2, 1778. So, what's yer point? America isn't a Christian nation, and not all of her soldiers are Christians. Do we impose religious doctrine on our troops?

No but we should allow people to be openly Christian, even if they are employed by the government.

So, what's yer point? America isn't a Christian nation, and not all of her soldiers are Christians. Do we impose religious doctrine on our troops? The point is that the US of A was founded on Christian principles, which also means that we don't impose religious doctrine on anybody.
