Remember, the rain in Maine falls in Spain on the plain... or something like that...

You will be missed Abbey, have a safe and fun trip. You might pick up an out of date Apple Pie in case you run into MFM. If you do score a hit with it, be sure and get pics........ do it for the board.:laugh2::laugh2::laugh2:

Thanks everyone. We had fun.
And MFM: We took your suggestion and went to Red's for one of our many lobster rolls this year. We sat by the water in Wiscasset and enjoyed one of these. I've had many, many lobster rolls over the years, but this was outstanding:

Melted butter on the side:

We sat approximately where the empty table in the left corner is, though the overall configuration was a little different:

So, thanks to MFM for the suggestion. Red's was one of the highlights of this year's Maine trip.
We continued on to Boothbay Harbor and took a boat tour:

Oh that looks so good! I mean the lobster roll, though the scenery is also beautiful. I miss the ocean.

If you like lobster, it would be hard to top it.
Our house was on a lake, so other than the side trips, we had a lake front view.
A lot like this pic from another lake:

I'm so jealous! Until I saw that roll, I was looking forward to my vegetarian pasta salad. Not anymore. Drooling.

You should have called me... there are several great restaurants in Wiscasset that we could have met you at for dinner. Le Garage being one of our favorites!

Thanks, that's nice of you. There were so many on the harbor alone, we wouldn't have known where to start. As it turned out, we didn't eat there, (because we were still filled up on the lobster roll). I think we had a chicken bbq that night at my bil's.
On our daughter's camera!
Well what are you waiting for?? Hurry up and snag that camera from her and get the pics from it! :)
