a large massive 2200 lb bomb dropped on London during the blitz. nick named ‘Hermann’ the German it was safley removed and detonated.
It would have torn a hole in the East End up to a-quarter-of-a-mile wide if it had exploded—64 years to the day after Allied Forces landed at Normandy on D-Day 1944. This was Big Hermann’s revenge.

a year ago they found one of Hitlers V-1 rockets. not unusual to find this old dangerous hardware even today as new construction moves in. they are still finding them in rural European area's as populations move into these areas.
