US officials try faux speed bumps to slow drivers

PHILADELPHIA - Cathy Campbell did a double-take and tapped the brakes when she spotted what appeared to be a pointy-edged box lying in the road just ahead.

It was a fake speed bump, a flat piece of blue, white and orange plastic that is designed to look like a 3-D pyramid from afar when applied to the pavement

What is it just too simple to pull people over for speeding now? We have to complicate things? And guess who pays for this lovely art deco piece

it isnt about speeding or pulling people over.

If speeding were truly unsafe, cars would be built with governors that prevent them from going over 65 mph, or whatever the national speed limit was at the time the car was built.
