yes i have known several.....some have become president.....

as for me....i am honest to a fualt....truth is an interesting concept though....many people think they are telling the truth but the may not have all the facts.....

personally i think trust is a better word to base one's life upon........

I try to be honest in all that I do. Its not easy but I can live with myself that way and I don't compromise my character with those I care about. I refunded $10k to someone who had forgotten all about it and never would've realized the mistake. It also happened to be someone with millions who $10k one way or another really had no impact on them.

I tell the truth just sometimes not all of the truth. If someone asks me how they look I will point out the things I like and try to refrain from the negative things, depending on who it is. If they can take the honest hard truth I'll lay it on them.

I figure I have no right to expect other to deal honestly if I don't.

I agree that it is near impossible for politicians, regardless of party affiliation, to be honest. You can't get elected by telling the truth.

People may in fact think they are telling the truth based on their perception of what they think they heard or saw. People see things differently and people who believe everything they hear assume they are speaking the truth.


For instance my 12 year old came home from school back when he was in the fifth grade and said to me, mom two kids I go to school with had sex. I said really how do you know that? He said well some kids told me that. So and so took pictures of it. I said really? Did you see these pictures? He responded with No. I said well William you only believe half of what you see and none of what you hear. He was like why? I said, because even if you see it with your own eyes it may in fact be something completely different then what you think you are seeing. And 90% of the time what you are being told is complete B.S.
