I looked at the album, the turkeys are really cool!
They are my pets now! hahahahahahahaha! I kid you not....
the male and female come every day now to the feeder we hung on our old Christmas tree....
We could not figure out what was going on, because every morning we would find the old Cristmas tree with the birdfeeder knocked over on its side....
Then one morning I woke at 5 am and saw a wild turkey there knocking the feeder to get the sunflower seeds out! hahahahaha........sooooooooooo cute!
They nested in the back yard woods this year...ON MY PROPERTY, big ole HUTS....they live in stick/straw huts that are shaped like igloos!
We have about 20 huts back there, near a stream of flowing water that goes to a small pond of ours....
Anyway, they have chicklings, i can hear their higher pitched gobble compared to the adults and today, i saw the mom and a bunch of little heads popping up above the grass in the meadow.....could not get pics of them yet, but can't wait to get a few good shots!
They absolutely LOVE sunflower seeds.
Today, is the first day I spotted and took pics of the snowshoe hare....it was here last spring too, but this year...it got here late! He eats the clover that is growing in my lawn...one reason we did not treat it with chemincals this year was because we knew last year the snowshoe hares loved the the clover and would snack on it for hours....
spotted the Hare at 6 am or so this morning and got a few shots with the digital cam.
I got a pic of a dear that crossed the road, from his belly up that was not in that set of pics that i need to show you, a white tail....
BUT MTNBIKER....:) the Mule deer ARE BACK and I have seen them on the edge of the woods in the meadow, two different times but both times I was unable to get a pic, before they HOPPED away....bouncy devils they are with floppy ears.... I gotta get a pic soon because they move onward and don't come back in the fall....I will only get to see them here for a couple of more weeks.... the Whitetail are here year round.... but the Mule deer are just soooooo coooooollllllll... would love a pic of them DAMNIT! hahahaha
I got some great pics of Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park that I am gonna post on another thread, from this spring too!

What are those things on his face? Sores?
I think so? He looks pretty beat up...
these are strange rabbits, in the winter their coats turn to solid white, summer they are brown.
the head looks really big and kind of long nosed for a rabbit, don't you think? I really don't know but it just seems like the head/nose is elongated?

Maybe he's eaten up with fleas and ticks or something. Or maybe he's a chupacabra!
