If Obama wins?

If McCain wins?

Either way I'll get up in the morning, do my work and come home in the evening. The country will go on, regardless.

I think if Obama is elected I'll immediately go out and buy my firearm. I don't have one now and if Obama is elected I may never get to own one.

Quite true, sometimes people get to wrapped up about who is in the White House. Certianly there will be policy from the White House that will have some affect on my life, however I will still be able to go about my day to day life and be happy regardless of who is in the White House.

Yeah, no kidding. I have plenty of guns, but I do need some more ammo. :boom2:

If Obama wins?

Buy a gun and go on with my life. This country will survive. We have endured worse and whatever socialist changes come about in four years can be undone.

If McCain wins?

Grin and bear it and go on with my life. Possibly move to Montana sooner than I planned.

If McCain wins I'll sign up for break-dancing lessons. If Obama wins I'll sign up for tennis lessons. I may also go out and buy an expensive cheese burger.

if mccain wins:

i will watch the press continue their refraine that america sucks, the economy sucks blah blah blah....

i will watch congress complain and point fingers and do nothing

if obama wins:

i will watch the press change their tune that america is on a new course, the economy is great we are changing blah blah blah....

i will watch congress complain and point fingers and do nothing....

then i will watch obama realise after his first national security briefing that he can not simply pull out of the middle east and walk away.....then he will find out he can not tax his way to hope and change .....then he will find out opec doesn't care who he is......then he will find out he can not nationalize 6 million people with the stroke of a pen and that there is an economic quid pro quo in place......

then the next four years will be spent blaming bush for the mess and if you only give us four more years we can fix this mess....

in either case i will watch what the fortune 500 do .... for if they decide to press forword and expand the economy of this nation .... as they did in 2001 and previously during the dot com boom .... neither of wich had anything to do with who was president.....i will expand my business as well....

if not.....i will lay off about 50....contract....hunker down and wait for the next cycle.....in recent weeks i have spoken with about 6 of the dozen or so national homebuilders and developers and they all say the same thing ....

bankers and ceos decided what this country does not the president....

If McCain wins?

Who cares.

Both are only there to line their pockets with gold, same as every other politician who has ever occupied a spot inside the beltway.

We the American people will continue getting the shaft either way.

I have plenty of guns too, but is it ever really enough, lol. I need a 2nd gun safe.

I keep 1000 rounds for each caliber I have in storage and rotate through it. I'm moving up my storage amount to 2000 rounds per caliber because California is planning on taxing ammo up to as much as $6 a round from some estimates.

This is a good thread.

I am trying to get out of politics myself, that is, worrying about politics. Let other people worry about it, not vote, separate myself from these concerns. 45 years of it is surely enough. Stay totally local in my life, retreat to the personal.

Also, I'm trying to learn to avoid any future prediction. It makes no more sense to use the verb "to be" in connection with the future than with death. The future doesn't exist and can't be predicted and the present is a buzzing confusion; I want to interest myself only in the past -- specific events that actually did happen for sure, and analyzing them.

I'm just planning on leaving California in favor of a carry state...any carry state. Montana is on the top of my short list.

I'm staying here. This is where my church is. Otherwise I would probably move to the Flagstaff area.

If Obama wins?

If McCain wins?

If Obama wins...

I'll be pleased to watch the transition of our foreign policy from the realm of insanity to rationality.
It'll be the dawn of a new era in race relations in this country.
I'll take a more positive attitude toward American politics.

If McCain wins...

It'll just be more of the same crap that we've endured for the last 8 years.
I'll be as cynical about American politics as I've been since 1992.
I'll come here to Debate Policy and make snarky comments to all the right wingers.

I've heard people have been driven insane by the relentless buffeting of the Montana wind.

Come to Ohio, where everything is just.........nice.

True on the snow, it may be the deal breaker for the Mrs.
