You never know where the next story will come from.
One of my FOX colleagues, Andy Ryan, a reservist, has been deployed in Iraq for the last 18 months. We’ve been shooting emails back and forth for a while and just a few weeks ago he sent one that really caught my attention.
The email boiled down to this: Can one soldier and his camera really change Iraq one picture at a time…..

Yeah, but I bet he doesn't take pictures of the marches and protests all over Iraq today against our extending our "UN Mandate" past 2008.

I know schmaltzy photos of frightened little Iraqi girls don't make up for losing this war year after weary year and our soldiers committing suicide in ever greater numbers because they are so discouraged and disgusted with it all.

It's probably pretty scary when your neighborhood is plunged into darkness because American missiles are slamming into all the buildings around you and you wake up in cold sweats to the sounds of sirens two to three times a week. So yeah, "frightened" is probably accurate. One smile frozen in time is not proof otherwise, it is, however, proof that the human spirit is a beautiful thing.

You do realize that military suicide rates are lower than our own general civilian population for the same sex/age groups right?

You do realized that the military population is significantly smaller than the civilian population right?
