Obama is building himself a great reputation overseas.

Obama's Unique Appeasement Style
By Caroline Glick

Spin doctors were relabeled "strategists" in the early 1990s. And as Mark Steyn wrote last week in National Review, "Increasingly, the Western world has attitudes rather than policies."

The latest attitude to be flouted as policy is indignation. Specifically, Democratic Presidential hopeful Senator Barack Obama's furious indignation at President George W. Bush's address before the Knesset last week where he celebrated Israel's 60th anniversary and extolled the US's alliance with Israel. Beyond praising the Jewish people's 4,000 year-old devotion to the Land of Israel and to liberty, Bush used the speech to warn against those who think that Iran and its terror proxies can simply be wished away through appeasement.

As the president put it, "Some seem to believe that we should negotiate with the terrorists and radicals, as if some ingenious argument will persuade them they have been wrong all along. We have heard this foolish delusion before. As Nazi tanks crossed into Poland in 1939, an American senator declared: "Lord, if I could only have talked to Hitler, all this might have been avoided. We have an obligation to call this what it is - the false comfort of appeasement, which has been repeatedly discredited by history."

To Israeli ears, Bush's words were uncontroversial. Israel is beset by enemies who daily call for its physical annihilation and while doing so, build and support terror forces who attack Israel. For most Israelis, the notion that these enemies can be appeased is absurd and deeply offensive.

I don't think people who write this stuff know any history or even what words mean? Appeasement is not negotiating, we always negotiate, all presidents negotiate.

Does anyone know what Chamberlain's so called appeasement was about? I doubt it, nor do they know the circumstances. And war came quickly anyway so appeasement even then meant little.

Talk to the people who threatened to kill you and give them some of what they want. Then, they'll come back and threaten to kill you in order to get more, because, it worked last time.

That is the Dems game plan. Due to some insane and irrational thought process, they actually believe kind words and bribes can get terrorists to lay down their guns and bombs

Empty words, do you mean Nixon leaving Nam? or Reagan leaving Beirut? Or do you think the illegal invasion of Iraq was un-appeasing a man who was our ally just a few years before? Give us some examples not just your normal empty rhetoric.

And after it's worked so well with the Palestinians, Somalis, Iraqis and Iranians. What's the definition of crazy? Doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.

You posted how the writers has no idea what she is talking about - yet she lives in Israel and lives with the threat of terrorists attacks everyday

She has to live with rockets flying into her citiy thanks to the terrorists

Libs have no desire to stand up to terrorists. Hell you clowns whine over people like Rush, Sean, and others talking about you. How the hell are you wimps going to stand up to people who want you DEAD?
