Odds are, the caribou will remain relatively unaffected. The biggest problem is the time it will take to start getting anything of substance out of ANWR. The "experts" say it will take ten to fifteen years to see any oil, and that's without litigation. Now, who here thinks there won't be lawsuits filed by environmental groups?

Actually, studies have shown that the warmth from the pipelines attract the caribou to mate more. So why dont we drill for oil and increase the caribou population?
