You need to stop looking through the world in your liberal colored lenses. They aren't laughing at Obama and Clinton because "minorities and women have just as much of a chance at power in our culture as ruling class men". They are laughing at them because total pussies. You really need to learn to read in context. Accomplishments and relevant experience often are two very different things, and in Obammy's case, they are worlds apart. He has done almost nothing to give him experience to be President. Ivory tower education and a freshman Senate seat which was quickly abandoned to go on the road ain't it.

As for the Egyptian comic, I will just direct you back to Gaffer's post for a very reasonable interpretation. Right or wrong, they see it as a sign of weakness. All we ever hear from the left is whining that the world hates us because of President Bush. I'll take their dislike and fear, over their belief that we are weak, anyday.

Btw, if I have a never-ending quest, it is not to belittle. You should look in the mirror for a moment- you will see the board's chief belittler.
