I think its sad that americans seem to forget the wonderful music from the 60s & 70s

I was born in 1983, so I don't know that much 69's or 70's music. Some of it is okay, but I don't really like it, to be honest. I find a lot of 'old' songs to be quite cheesy.

the 70's sucked........50's were great as was the 60's....80's were great as well....

I graduated HS in 65. I listen to 50's 60's and early 70's music. I would say my favorite period would be 63 through 66. It was simple and corny but always fun music. About 67 it started getting more complicated and sophisticated. Not to mention more political. Everything had to have a message. And when I feel like a change of pace I put on my Irish music.

i listen to late 60s, most 70s era music, simon and garfunkel are probably my favorites, though simon alone is also very good.... haven't been able to get into 50s music, too boppy for me, love frank sinatra though, so some 50s, but his music, imo, is classic 40s which i love.
