I was originally gonna say "absolutely not. It's like a guy with a deformed nose getting plastic surgery for free." But for a guy who identifies as female to be housed with other guys...well, clearly you can see I don't know much about the transgender thing, I'm kinda hammering out my thought process on this one as I type. Maybe it would be difficult to be housed with a bunch of guys if you identify as female, but it would be tough in the world at large as well, and you'd think he/she should be used to it. Just about everybody in prison gets harrassed for one reason or another at one time or another (according to Oz and other prison TV shows/movies, I don't have the experience to draw from about prison other than a friend who served weekends for domestic violence & he actually got along okay with everybody in there), so it would seem like special (& expensive) treatment.
