Politicians and unions have, for years, been attempting to, through use of force, alter the prices of things such as labor. This does not, however, change the underlying reality around the price, that being that the labor isn't worth the new price. It is only a matter of time before the market adjusts and causes the forced change in pricing to do more damage than good. However, that's in the long term, and politicians get elected in the short term. Thomas Sowell weighs in.
