Does anyone remember this one? The Sea Shadow. It looks awesome. I don't know why they mothballed it. I am sure they can still use it. I tried to get the picture of it to post but it wont. Can someone get it up here for me?

The United States Navy is working on a new class of destroyers. They will have Stealth technology. They have already begun building the first ship with it's completion date in 2012. This will definatly be a valuable asset. Here is the link with more information..............

I also heard the newline of Air Craft Carriers will have Stealth Technology as well.

They are also working on electrically powered "rail guns" that shoot a projectile up to mach 6. Or is it mach 9? Range of something like 100 miles.

Looks like they have brought back the Monitor.

Usually when something is mothballed it is because they have already replaced it with something better. Or because it doesn't work as well as it was suppose to and endangers those on it.

The Sea Shadow With It's Submersable Dry Docking Ship The HMB-1, USS Carl Vinson And The USS Arkansas At The Alameda Naval Air Station.

It's mothballed in Benecia California with the rest of the Mothball Fleet. You can actually see it. We used to go fishing out that way when I grew up in the bay area. You can actually get really close to all of those old military ships.

The HMB-1 is also Mothballed there as well as the USS Iowa.
