When I was in high school, my best friend Beth got her heart broken (again) right around this time. I apparently wrote her this, which she has saved. Even though we are both married now.

He said, they were selling roses at school and I bought myself one. And I asked my other son and what about you, buying roses is like throwing money in the trash can.
